Lachmann 762 Camo Challenges & Tips for Completing Them

By
Craig Robinson

The Lachmann 762 is a powerful battle rifle, which players must progress through if they want the other great and powerful Lachmann-themed weapons in the game. While you go through that journey, you will gradually unlock weapon camos challenges, which you can beat to make your way and progress through the weapon mastery skins in the game. If you’re a completionist, you must complete Gold and Platinum to ensure you get Polyatomic and Orion. So, to make the Lachmann 762 camo challenges much smoother, we aim to offer tips and tricks for these challenges, including loadout suggestions, and map strategies.

Here is a look at the Lachmann 762 camo challenges and tips, map strategies, and loadouts for completing them.

MW2 Lachmann 762 Camo Challenges Tips

Here are the Lachmann 762 camos challenges in MW2

Challenge Requirement Camo reward
Challenge 1 Get 50 kills with the Lachmann 762 Day Marsh
Challenge 2 Get 50 kills while ADS with the Lachmann 762 Desert Oil Digital
Challenge 3 Get 20 kills while mounted with the Lachmann 762 Stalking Cat
Challenge 4 Get 10 Double Kills with the Lachmann 762 Internal Flame
Gold Challenge Get three kills without dying ten times Gold Camo
Platinum Challenge 25 longshots with the Lachmann 762 Platinum Camo
Polyatomic Challenge 25 headshots with the Lachmann 762 Polyatomic
Orion Challenge Currently unknown Orion Camo

The bulk of the Lachmann 762 camos are very easy to use. Each of these challenges can be done using the following Lachmann 762 loadout, which you gradually unlock as you level the gun. If you have access to other attachments unlocked via other weapons, then you can use the second option from the list.

  • Barrel: Meer-56 11“ Factory Barrel
  • Muzzle: Polarfire-S, or a compensator, depending on what weapons you have progressed
  • Underbarrel FTAC Ripper 56
  • Optic of choice
  • Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10 or LMK 64 Grip

The loadout should make it so you have decent ADS improvements, recoil improvements, and ADS stability improvements, no matter what options you have unlocked. The best options come from other guns, but the attachments you get from the Lachmann 762 itself work fine.

The first two challenges for the gun will be very easy to complete using the above loadout(s). Use the loadout while running around, thank to great ADS speed. You also have decent recoil control to go spraying with the full auto mode on the gun. If you’re fighting enemies at range, be sure to use the semi-auto and tap at a nice pace to make your shots easy to land.

The third challenge can be done using this build too. Most mounted challenges mean you get much better recoil control, so feel free to change your barrel to something with better damage to benefit from the mounted perks. There are plenty of maps where mounting works a charm. Moreso, the Headquarters, Control, Hardpoint, and Domination game modes offer great opportunities to get mounted kills while your overlook to defend objectives.

The final challenge requires double kills. There are a few cheeky tricks on maps and game mode options to do it. The objective-based gamemodes offer better opportunities to get double kills while covering objectives. You can also get better chances to get double kills in key rotations areas of maps, like the Farm 18 middle building, or the gates in Al Bagra for example. Use these spots to your advantage for better double kill opportunities. You may need a higher magazine if you’re struggling with the mere 20 mag base ammo size.

Lachmann 762 Gold Camo Challenge and Higher Mastery Level Challenges

When you get to the Lachmann 762 Gold Camo Challenge, you need to get kills without dying. For this, we recommend adding a 30-round magazine to your loadout, just in case. We also recommend using the perk fast hands, as you will go through ammo very easily with this weapon. You then want to use a strategy like the mounted kills or the double kill strat to funnel enemies into your cross-hair. If you prefer to pick off enemies at range, then you will need a decent optic, as you can two-hit enemies thanks to the 762 rounds.

Lachmann 762 Platinum Challenge

Moving on to the Lachmann 762 Platinum Camo Challenge, you need longshots. The trick to this is to change your attachments to improve range and bullet velocity to make this challenge easier:

  • Barrel: Romeo FFT 16“ barrel if you have used the Rapp-H to level 16. This is by far the best damage and range increase barrel attachment, so it’s highly recommended for this challenge.
  • Muzzle: Polarfire-S, as the silencer, offers the best range improvements.
  • Ammunition: 7.62 Velocity to get better velocity to make it easier to hit larger-range targets. You lose some damage range, but it is fine.

Note, you lose ADS speed and some recoil, so be aware you likely need to prone or mount for long-range kills. After that, we recommend the following locations to get long shot kills.

  • El Asilo, such as the rock near A on Domination, all the way over the car on the dirt road and beyond. The radio tower works too if you cover the north direction, as does the building to the southwest side of the map overlooking the storage yard, and the swing dirt mound section.
  • The raceway is good, especially if you can get prone on the fire engine and cover B site on Domination in front of the pit area of the map. The broadcast trucks side of the map works too, but they favor snipers a lot better.
  • Embassy, especially the tennis court and front gate area. You can also get a good prone spot on the roof area of rear gate, near the cafeteria roof. This allows you to cover the car park, with the 35-meter range being the gates to the main embassy building.
  • Taraq is also good if you’re covering north-to-south angles, especially the ruin area towards the building with the second-floor outdoor sniping area, which you can use to cover any objectives that go in that direction.
  • Invasion modes: The Invasion maps have very long-range areas, especially if you get elevated. Maybe try these maps and get long-range kills, but just be wary of snipers getting long-range kills.

Lachmann 762 Platinum Challenge

Now we have the Lachmann 762 Polyatomic Camo Challenge in MW2. This challenge requires headshots. We recommend either sticking to the long-range playstyle if you enjoyed it and found it viable to get headshots, or the close range and using the ADS loadout listed earlier in the guide. That way, you can content against the usual SMG and AR players and pre-aim for their heads or scope in when you need to and shoot their heads. Once again, see the basic challenges for map and loadout strategies for the ADS run and gun playstyle, and see the suggestions in the platinum challenge if you want the long-range playstyle.

This concludes the MW2 Lachmann 762 camo challenges. Good luck to those on the road to Orion, and may these tips and tricks find you the kills you need.
