The JOKR is the lock on Javelin in MW2, which is great for pre-emptive strikes on locations, or for locking into vehicles with some heavy ordonnance. Like all weapons in MW2, there are JOKR Camo Challenges, which include one base challenge and the mastery camos. To get these challenges done, we recommend some tips and tricks, along with map and game modes strategies, to make the process easier.

Here are some tips, tricks and map strategies to get your hands on the JOKR camo challenges in MW2.

MW2 JOKR Camo Challenges Tips¶

The main way you’re going to use the JOKR, throughout the leveling process and to get challenges largely includes the same tactics. Kills are some of the best ways to get XP, and to complete the first base JOKR camo challenge. The strategies you can use are as follows:

• Ground War: Spawn in the big helicopter that flies around the map. It’s possible to stand at the edge of the helicopter, and use the javelin to scan for enemy players. You can take out snipers camping with this, or enemy players looking to take a capture point.
• Headquarters or Hardpoint: If there are areas outside the map players are fighting over, you can use the javelin to bombard enemy players. You can also use this to hit any overwatch spots and kill snipers. There’s a good chance to get multi-kills using this method, especially if your team captures the headquarters and the enemy starts to retake the objective.
• Kills from spawn: Most maps tend to have some main pathways through the map from the start of a game. You can use your javelin to lock onto the more obvious areas players run through at spawn to predict kills with the javelin.

Also, we recommend you take in your JOKR class setup the Fast Hands and Overcharge perks, and the Munitions Box Field Upgrade. Fast Hands is good for reloading or switching to your JOKR quicker. Overcharge is also good for getting your hands on your Field Upgrade quicker, which means you can get an extra round for your launcher.

These loadout and map strategies should make one of the harder launchers in the game much easier to beat.

JOKR Gold, Platinum, and Polyatomic Camo Challenges¶

Moving onto the JOKR Gold Camo Challenge in MW2, you need to get two kills without dying ten times.

Like with the above challenge, players should find the Ground War helicopter strategy works very well. You have two rounds in a freshly spawned loadout, so you can look to kill two snipers. Since you’re high up in the chopper, your javelins will come straight down, for fast kills. If you don’t get the kill, feel free to throw yourself off the chopper and die to fall damage.

Alternatively, you can do the hardpoint and headquarters strategy on more open maps or sites. Once again, you’re more likely to find multi-kills, or bombard an area with rockets to pick up kills at different times doing this tactic. The only downside is that you may die while locking onto a decent area on site, and that most sites tend to be indoors. But the option is there if you need it.

The JOKR Platinum Camo Challenge in MW2 requires players to get your hands on the vehicles, killstreaks, or field upgrades and equipment. Once again, the best chances you have of getting these kills is via Invasion and Ground War. Invasion allows players to get bot kills, which helps those scorestreaks to send in UAVs and other streaks. Not to mention you have the helicopter drop-offs for the AI soldiers. You can use your ammo box, fast hands reload, and use your JOKR to take all the UAVs out, and the AI helicopters. Moreso, armored vehicles spawn towards the second half of a match, which you can take out in two javelin hits. There should be more than enough vehicles and kill streaks on this mode to make it easy enough to complete platinum in no time.

If there’s lots of players doing this, then go to the standard playlists and queue for games like kill confirmed. There’s more opportunity for non-objective playing enemy players to get their kills, meaning a source of UAVs and Counter UAVs, especially against those using the two kill streaks to level their guns fast. So, you can have lots of fun taking out those streaks for your platinum JOKR challenge.

Lastly, we have the JOKR Polyatomic Camo Challenge. This requires getting double kills with your javelin. With other weapons, its not so bad, but because of the JOKRs launch time, it means you need to get a multi-kill with it. The only viable way to do this is either to look for camper spots on Ground War with two people in, which has no guarantee, or to get those multi-kills on hardpoint and headquarters in outside locations.
In our opinion, the best place to score the double kills for the JOKR Polyatomic challenge in MW2 are on the following locations:

• Al Bagra Fortress: Headquarters and Hardpoints that spawn on the Mamluk (Arabian knight) statue, and the moving lorries. There’s also a good spot for the hardpoint/ headquarters that spawns to the side of the balcony and stables. It also works for B and A site on Domination too.
• Taraq: The middle building complex has several areas you can lock on no matter what side of the map you spawn on for multi-kills. It’s even better when the objective spawns in there, which is normally the first objective at the start of a game.
• Embassy: The Tennis court and the parking / Embassy hardpoint location are good places to pickup multi-kills if timed correctly to spawns, or enemies trying to capture the objective.
• El Asilo: The roof area with the white tent that overlooks A site in Domination is good, especially when the hardpoint or headquarters move to those locations. The small garage nearby is also good, as you can lock onto the metal fence and cover the door and garage with a JOKR, which will kill enemies pushing either entrance spot.

You can also cover sites and prepare your JOKR on areas with enemies funneling through. The result of it is that you can get a few sneaky multikills from time to time.
