Best FSS Hurricane Class in MW2: Loadout, Perks & Attachments

By
Craig Robinson

The FSS Hurricane is an unlockable SMG, which comes from players venturing down the M4 pathway. Those who take on the challenge of the M4 family will pick up a rather unique SMG, with it having some incredibly strong damage potential, along with a workable recoil at range. However, the core strength of this SMG is its powerful ADS in close range. This has been the go-to meta weapon for pros in the beta, and will likely continue its war path on full release. Here is one of the best FSS Hurricane class in MW2 for that playstyle, along with the best FSS Hurricane loadout and perks to go with it.

Best FFS Hurricane Class in MW2

Here is a closer look at the best FSS Hurricane Loadout in the MW2 beta.

The FSS Hurricane attachments for this close-range FSS Hurricane class specialize in ADS, Bullet damage, and movement speed. However, its recoil is slightly harder to control. You can adjust your sensitivity on the mouse and controller, but you can offset your underbarrel option. The best attachments for the FSS Hurricane loadout in MW2 are:

  • Muzzle: XTEN Razor Comp
  • Barrel: FSS Cannonade 16“ Barrel
  • Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
  • Stock: Demo Quicksilver Collapsed
  • Rear Grip: Sakin ZX Grip

The XTEN Razor Compensator is a solid recoil and stability adjuster to your aim, and is one of the only sources of recoil control. This is necessary as the recoil is very hard to control otherwise.

Meanwhile, the FSS Cannonade offers better damage range for those mid-range fights, along with granting solid hip fire accuracy and bullet velocity. It’s a great addition to extending your range, while offering that close-range hip-fire bonuses when needed.

The FSS Sharkfin is another great attachment for the FSS Hurricane, as it adds better sprint and ADS opportunities. This allows you to have great ADS control while on the move to bolster that SMG playstyle.

The Sakin ZX Rear Grip also adds to the recoil control at the cost of some stability. But that’s fine since the Sakin should mitigate that while in ADS.

The Demo Quicksilver Collapsed Stock offers better movement speed, ADS and Sprint to fire speed for that top-quality SMG playstyle. You do, however, lose some recoil, which will start cancelling out your Compensator and Rear Grip buffs, which is why you need them.

If you are still struggling with recoil control, especially at a distance, then we recommend swapping the FSS Sharkfin out for another recoil control underbarrel like the Precision-40.

Best FSS Hurricane Class setup in MW2

The best FSS Hurricane class in MW2 will help to support the SMG playstyle incredibly well. It is why we have chosen the four class options below.

  • Secondary: X12 or Expedite-12 if overkill
  • Tactical: Flash Bangs or Shock Sticks
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Field Upgrade: Dead Silence

The secondary choice depends if you want Overkill or not. If you do, the Expedite-12 is a quality weapon for those moments you need to jump into very close CQB rooms and need its point-blank efficiency. Other than that, the X-12 works fine.

Your Tactical for this FSS Hurricane Class Setup in MW2 entirely depends on the map and mode. Flash Bangs are a safer bet, especially since they deafen and blind briefly. But, the Stun Sticks work well for capture modes, as you can stun and damage an area and then get those kills you need and take the point.

Your lethal should always be Semtex for SMGS, since they detonate quickly, and act to either instagib or force an enemy into an awkward spot. Your Hurricane will then easily pop them as they need to run.

Dead Silence and SMGs are best friends, so it is a no-brainer that the fast class will benefit the most from silenced footsteps.

Best FSS Hurricane Perks in MW2

The best FSS Hurricane perks in MW2 are the ones that allow the SMG to become self-sufficient. This FSS Hurricane class will churn through ammo when it pops off and get into combat a lot. Therefore, you need those saving graces.

  • Basic Perk 1: Scavenger
  • Basic Perk 2: Battle Hardened or Overkill
  • Bonus Perk: Quick Fix
  • Ultimate Perk: Ghost

Scavenger is a no-brainer. When you do well, you will need to pick up ammo. So, Scavenger is a great pick for any SMG in a good game. The other basic perk is either Battle Hardened or Overkill. Battle Hardened is the option if you’re sick to death of the flashbangs in the game and want to reduce their effectiveness. Meanwhile, Overkill allows you to grab the Expedite and go point-blank one-shoting when you bounce into CQB rooms that your SMG won’t one-shot another player in.

The bonus perk you need is the Quick Fix. You’re going to be fighting alot, and the health regeneration is not great in MW2. So, grabbing Quick Fix rewards you for grabbing kills, and lets you get to contesting more players and wracking up those kills quickly.

And for your last trick, Ghost. Ghost prevents you from getting spotted on the radar by UAVs. Synergise this with Dead Silence to become invisible to the enemy’s radars and ears, and you’ll be good to flank and surprise your foe for even more success.

With that said, these are by far the best FSS Hurricane perks to go with your loadout in MW2. Good luck out there.
