How to Level Up Fast in CoD MW2

This page will provide you with the necessary methods to level up quickly in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

Level 55 is the Level Cap in MW2.

What is the Max Level Cap?

We find ourselves starting fresh with a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II which released on October 28th, 2022. Infinity Ward has changed a few things up, such as adding a new way to unlock Weapons, Weapon Tuning, and the removal of bunny hopping! If you’re planning on diving into multiplayer, then you may be wondering what’s the quickest method to reaching Level 55 so you can have access to more Weapons, Equipment, Killstreaks and Perks. Below you’ll find some of the best methods to level in MW2.

Play During Double XP Weekend / Use Double XP Tokens

One of the more obvious methods to leveling in MW2 is to play as much as possible during Double XP Weekends. Additionally, if there isn’t any Double XP Weekend active, then make use of Double XP Tokens which activates Double XP for either 30 mins or 1 hour. You can earn 4 by completing the Campaign and most CoDs will have a partnership active where you can buy specially-marked products, such as Mountain Dew from your local store which will contain a code!

How to Redeem Double XP tokens in MW2

Once you’ve loaded into the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Multiplayer enter the pregame lobby and press DualSense-Stick-L to bring up a list containing all of your available 2XP Tokens, then press DualSense-ButtonCross to activate it. However, as soon as you’ve activated it a timer will countdown despite being on the game or not, so you’ll want to make sure you only use your Tokens if you’ve got enough time to play to ensure you make the most out of it.

Focus on Completing Challenges

Whilst playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Multiplayer you may find a certain weapon you perform well with and decide to stick with it. You’ll want to avoid doing this, as you’ll eventually reach a point where you’ll have to start completing difficult challenges, such as getting 500 headshots which means you’ll be working towards a single challenge for a long time and as a result you’ll miss out on lots of XP from the easier challenges. So once you’ve completed all of the easy challenges with a certain weapon, switch to a different weapon and start again.

Play Objective-Based Game Modes

If you’re someone that struggles to get a lot of kills, then you’ll want to focus on playing Objective-based game modes, such as Headquarters and Domination. This will allow players of all types to get a good amount of XP for their time, as the more defensive players can focus on working on the objective whilst the more aggressive players can focus on getting kills. However, all players should still try to contribute to the objective, as the game tries to reward players that do so.
