MW2 Safe Codes: Alone and El Sin Nombre Safe Codes Guide

By
Craig Robinson

The Modern Warfare campaign has a two levels towards the latter half of the campaign that allow you go to stealthy and explore at your own pace. These are El Sin Nombre and Alone. You play as Soup, and part of your map reconnaissance will lead you to locked safes in each level. To crack these open, you will need to know the safe combos. Each level has them, but they are kinda tricky. To make it easier, here is a guide to all the MW2 Safe codes, including the two Alone safe codes, and one El Sin Nombre safe code.

Here’s a guide to getting the Gentleman Thief trophy and opening all the MW2 safe codes.

All MW2 Safe code combos

IN total, there are three safe codes to get through the entire campaign, two are on Alone, and one on El Sin Nombre. Each of the Safe Codes are typically found within a very close proximity of the safe themselves.

You will find the locations of the three safes in

  • El Sin Nombre - Diego’s room on the second floor.
  • Alone - Coffee shop second floor in a locked room.
  • Alone - Garage next door to the coffee shop.

MW2 El Sin Nombre Safe Code

To open the the safe in MW2’s El Sin Nombre’s mission, head to the second floor. There’s some rafters you can climb near the outside staircase with the guard on it. That will allow you to safely climb up without detection. You can then get in through the outside catwalk area and open the door. To get the code, look at the portrait of the Mexican business man, and the date should reveal itself to you. You may want to turn your visual settings up, as this can render ineligible otherwise on lower settings.

After that, you can then head into the dresser room of Diego’s bedroom. The safe is at the bottom. Input 02-02-19, and the safe will open. inside is a silenced shotgun and some armor plates in case you get into trouble.

MW2 Alone Safe Codes

There are two safes in the MW2 Alone mission. Play through the mission as normal, until you get into the building with the shotgun wired to the door. From there, grab the metal and the tap from the building, and proceed to the door with the dying man banging on the door. Head on through, into the second floor of the coffee shop, and open the door with the craftable Pry.

Now you’re inside, you can check the calendar for the code. The code is 10-10-80, which is the date of someone’s birthday that you can work out from the calendar. Inside is a silenced Deagle and a throwing knife.

The second safe code in Alone is the garage. You need to drop down to the second floor of the coffee shop, and head into the garage to the left of the drop. There’s some guards here, so be careful, as they do patrol inside and outside the garage. When you get inSide, there’s a laptop on a desk, with the code on the memo. You can then walk into the garage office, and enter the code 37-60-80. Inside you will find a crossbow with two bolts, along with one throwing knife.
