This request can be picked up from Ward who’s found near Canala Bridge in Jubilife Village. You’ll only be able to pick this request up if you’ve encountered a Ghastly before (caught or defeated it). Ward will ask you to show him a completed Pokédex entry for Ghastly.
Where to Find Ghastly in Arceus¶
Ghastly.
Ghastly can be found in abundance near the Golden Lowlands and Gapejaw Bog in Crimson Mirelands - but only at night! If you’ve head out to Crimson Mirelands and it’s still nighttime, just rest at the camp till nightfall and you’ll be good to go.

The easiest way to complete the Pokédex is to catch lots of Ghastlys. If you catch at least 6 you’ll get 9 research points (double points for number caught, and three points for catching them at night). Then, all you’ll need to do is defeat one more or scare one off with a Scatter Bang to finish off the Pokédex entry for Ghastly.
Once it’s finished, return to Ward to complete the request and earn x1 Linking Cord.
