This request can be picked up from Taggart, who’s found near the houses in Jubilife Village. He’ll ask you to join him for a new challenge at Practice Field, south of the Southern Gate.
How to Beat the 10,000 Point Balloon Challenge¶
In this Balloon Popping Challenge, you’ll be tasked with popping balloons using Poké balls. Your goal is to get 10,000 points in 1 minute. There’s no real technique to this, just lob out as many Poké balls as you can. You should aim to shoot the yellow balloons as they give you extra points but other than that, you just want to be shooting as many balloons as humanely possible. You can also get bonus points for hitting more than one balloon with the same Poké ball so shoot at close-knit balloons.
Luckily, the margin of error is pretty big - we missed our throws a bunch of throws and still got 17k+ points! The reward for hitting 10,000 points is x15 Great balls and x1 Nugget.
