Request 55: Poor, Peckish Piplup.

This quest can be picked up from Maris, who’s found at Tombolo Walk in Cobalt Coastlands. She’ll ask you to help her feed the hungry Piplup by crafting some Bean Cakes.

How to Craft Bean Cakes¶

Before you can craft some Bean Cakes, you’ll need to purchase the recipe from Anvin, who sells materials and recipes in Jubilife Village. The recipe costs 1,000 Poké Dollars, and to craft a Bean Cake, you’ll need x1 pod of Plump Beans and x1 Cake-Lure Base. Plump beans are a common item found in Cobalt Coastlands, they can be found ion the ground or in piles of leaves that your Pokémon can search through if you chuck their ball at it.

The Bean Cake recipe costs 1,000 PD.

If you don’t have any Cake-Lure Bases, you can purchase them from Choy’s shop. In fact, if you’ve already completed Request 61: Even More New Wares, you’ll actually just be able to buy some bean cakes outright from Choy and save yourself the hassle of crafting them!

Once you have a bean cake (make sure it’s in your pockets not storage), return to Maris and hand it over to the Piplup. Upon completing this request, you’ll earn x5 Razz Berries and x3 Hyper Potion.
