After completing Request 108 through Request 117, you can receive 5 additional requests–including this one–from Gared at the Jubilife Village Training Grounds.

1. Participate in the Path of Solitude with Kleavor

To complete this request, you must conquer the Path of Solitude with Kleavor.

Speak to Ingo at the Training Grounds with Kleavor as your only party member and choose the “Path of Solitude” option. You can change your party by choosing the “Select Pokémon” option when speaking with Ingo.

For this fight, you’ll want a Kleavor that’s around Level 80, with max or very high Effort Levels in Attack, Speed, Defense, HP and maybe some in Sp. Def but not too much. Also, your Kleavor needs Close Combat and you should learn Calm Mind from Zisu.

At the beginning, use Calm Mind to boost Kleavor’s offensive and defensive stats. If you’re confident, you could use it in Agile Style (this requires a Seed of Mastery) to speed up Kleavor’s turn order slightly, at the cost of reducing the duration of the stat boost.

(1 of 2) Calm Mind is vital for turning the tables.

Next, "Goodra" IconGoodra will likely use Shelter to boost its defensive stats, while applying the obscured status effect, which raises its evasion. Followed by Draco Meteor if your Kleavor’s Defense is much higher than its Sp. Def, otherwise Iron Head. Ideally you want to be hit by Draco Meteor, because it’ll reduce Goodra’s offensive stats.

From here, keep unleashing Close Combat and praying that Goodra doesn’t dodge. With a regular Calm Mind, you have 3 chances before the boosts wear off–you only need to land 2. Meanwhile, with an Agile Style Calm Mind, you need to land both of your Close Combats. Or you risk losing. In both cases, you may need to activate Agile/Strong Style to maximise your turns/damage.

Reward for Request 119

For smashing through Goodra’s defenses, Ingo will give you some rewards such as Exp. Candies or Grit items. Additionally, for your first clear, he’ll add a “Path of Solitude” stamp in Kleavor’s Pokédex page.

Show the stamp to Gared to complete this request, earning you:

  • Seed of Mastery x1
  • Exp. Candy XL x1
