Request 112: Blissey's Path of Solitude

By
Vincent Lau

This is a guide for Request 112: “"Blissey" IconBlissey’s Path of Solitude” in the “Daybreak” DLC for Pokémon Legends: "Arceus" IconArceus (PLA).

How to Unlock Request 112

(1 of 2) Get your Path of Solitude requests from Gared here.

After completing Request 102, you can receive 10 requests related to the Path of Solitude–including this request–by speaking to Gared at the Jubilife Village Training Grounds.

1. Participate in the Path of Solitude with Blissey

To complete this request, you must tackle the Path of Solitude with Blissey.

Speak to Ingo at the Training Grounds with Blissey as your only party member and choose the “Path of Solitude” option. You can change your party by choosing the “Select Pokémon” option when speaking with Ingo.

(1 of 2) Let the pain begin (again)!

Let the pain begin (again)! (left), To clear this challenge, your Blissey must be able to out-heal the damage from Snorlax. (right)

Pokémon Level Type
"Snorlax" IconSnorlax 70 pokemon_pla_type_normal.png

Your opponent is a "Snorlax" IconSnorlax whose only move is Double Edge. You can probably see where this is going. Since Double Edge deals damage to Snorlax, the easiest way to win is to keep healing until Snorlax KOs itself.

For this to work, your Blissey needs Soft-Boiled. That’s all. Although you might as well carry Baby-Doll Eyes, just in case. If either of these moves aren’t there, select Blissey and go to “Change Moves”.

Naturally, the higher Level your Blissey the better. You can save a lot of time by catching the Level 62 alpha Blissey at the Obsidian Fieldlands. Or you catch one from the Alabaster Icelands (here or here). If you’re lucky to encounter an alpha Blissey in the Icelands, they can be Level 70+, which is cool.

(1 of 2) Don’t stop using Soft-Boiled, unless you need Baby-Doll Eyes to survive.

Don’t stop using Soft-Boiled, unless you need Baby-Doll Eyes to survive. (left), Eventually Snorlax should KO itself. (right)

If you have excess Grit items, you could also boost Blissey’s Effort Levels, especially for HP and maybe Defense.

The strategy for this fight is simple: Keep using Soft-Boiled to top up Blissey’s HP. Our Level 70 ish Blissey with 9 Effort Levels in HP and 3 in Defense lost approximately half of its HP from one Double Edge, so it was able to easily survive.

If Double Edge is dealing too much damage, try using Baby-Doll Eyes when there’s an opening. Also, Snorlax can only use Double Edge 5 times, so you don’t need to survive too long. Afterwards, it’ll be left with Struggle, which barely does any damage to Blissey, but still deals considerable damage to Snorlax.

Reward for Request 112

Another Path of Solitude cleared. Onto the next one!

For outlastng Snorlax, Ingo will give you some rewards such as Exp. Candies or Grit items. Additionally, for your first clear, he’ll add a “Path of Solitude” stamp in Blissey’s Pokédex page.

Show the stamp to Gared to complete this request, earning you:

  • Seed of Mastery x1
  • Exp. Candy M x3
