Request 111: Abra's Path of Solitude

By
Vincent Lau

This is a guide for Request 111: “"Abra" IconAbra’s Path of Solitude” in the “Daybreak” DLC for Pokémon Legends: "Arceus" IconArceus (PLA).

How to Unlock Request 111

(1 of 2) Gared’s the go-to-go for punishing requests.

After completing Request 102, you can receive 10 requests related to the Path of Solitude–including this request–by speaking to Gared at the Jubilife Village Training Grounds.

1. Participate in the Path of Solitude with Abra

To complete this request, you must overcome the Path of Solitude with Abra.

Speak to Ingo at the Training Grounds with Abra as your only party member and choose the “Path of Solitude” option. You can change your party by choosing the “Select Pokémon” option when speaking with Ingo.

OK, let’s get this over and done with… (left), Normally, a Level 84 Mr. Mime would be problematic for an Abra, but… (right)

Don’t let "Mr. Mime" IconMr. Mime’s Level fool you, this is probably the easiest Path of Solitude request. The reason being, Mr. Mime only knows Mimic. What you should do is make your Abra use Teleport at the beginning so Mr. Mime learns it, then watch as the silly clown spams Teleport like no tomorrow.

Still, this is by no means a brainless battle. For a breezy time, try to Level Up your Abra a bit, so it’s at least Level 30. We did this battle at Level 50 and it was super easy. If you have excess Grit items, you could also consider boosting some of Abra’s Effort Levels a little, especially for Sp. Atk.

(1 of 2) After Mr. Mime copies Teleport, you can whack the fool without having to worry.

After Mr. Mime copies Teleport, you can whack the fool without having to worry. (left), Shadow Ball is the best attacking move to use here. (right)

One more thing: We recommend teaching Abra Shadow Ball (super-effective vs. Mr. Mime) by speaking to Zisu. Calm Mind is another good move, if you’re not confident about your Abra’s damage output. After Mr. Mime learns Teleport, keep blasting it with Shadow Balls; use Calm Mind if available to temporarily boost Abra’s Sp. Atk.

You have 20 actions before Mr. Mime runs out of moves and uses Struggle. Depending on your Abra’s Level, Struggle may result in a OHKO. However, unless your Abra is really, really low Level, we doubt you’ll reach that stage–and, in the event you lose, it shouldn’t take too long to train your Abra until it passes.

Reward for Request 111

If you want to clear all the Path of Solitude requests, don’t waste these candies.

For outsmarting Mr. Mime, Ingo will give you some rewards such as Exp. Candies or Grit items. Additionally, for your first clear, he’ll add a “Path of Solitude” stamp in Abra’s Pokédex page.

Show the stamp to Gared to complete this request, earning you:

  • Seed of Mastery x1
  • Exp. Candy M x3
