Request 100: Massive Mass Outbreak in the Highlands

By
Vincent Lau

This is a guide for Request 100: “Massive Mass Outbreak in the Highlands” in the “Daybreak” DLC for Pokémon Legends: "Arceus" IconArceus (PLA).

How to Unlock Request 100

(1 of 2) You’ll receive this request almost immediately after completing the previous one.

You’ll receive this request almost immediately after completing the previous one. (left), If you’re already here, then you’re probably ready to depart. (right)

You’ll automatically receive this request mere moments after reporting Request 99. After doing a cake run for “Mai”, you’re back to investigating the strange outbreaks–this time at the Coronet Highlands.

Like the previous investigations, agree to accompany Mai to the Highlands Camp to properly begin the request.

1. Investigate 3 Mass Outbreaks

(1 of 2) Between Melli and Lian, you should have lots of Aguav Berries.

At the Highlands Camp, you’ll bump into Sabi from the Diamond Clan. After some chit-chat, Sabi will leave and you can begin investigating.

Your objective is the same as always: check out any 3 individual outbreaks. To make things easier, speak to Mai and give up 5 Aguav Berries so you can learn what Pokémon are in each outbreak straight away. From there, make a beeline for the outbreaks that catch your fancy.

(1 of 2) Ooh, an Alpha Rowlet. Don’t mind if we do…

Since you’ve done 3 similar requests already, you probably don’t need any help. But just in case, here are all the important points again:

  1. “Investigating” an outbreak consists of catching/defeating/scaring away (so they disappear) all the Pokémon in an outbreak. You’ll know you’re on the right track if you see a message saying the outbreak has disappeared or a new horde has appeared. Plus a pop up with your updated progress. If there’s a second wave, only the initial wave counts.

  2. If the rainstorm/time limit ends before you’ve investigated 3 outbreaks, exit the highlands and return when another Massive Mass Outbreak occurs. To accelerate the appearance of one, keep going back and forth between the village and any region.

  3. For more information, such as what Pokémon are available and what the glowing borders mean, please refer to our dedicated Massive Mass Outbreaks page!

2. Report to Mai

When you’re all tired out from investigating 3 outbreaks, return to Mai at the Highlands Camp and let her know how things went. Her leader, Adaman, will come along and give you some goodies: 100 Spoiled Apricorns, 100 Balls of Mud and 100 Caster Fern Leaves. As he mentions, you can craft Stickly Globs with these.

Reward for Request 100

These should come in handy for investigating future outbreaks.

At the end of the day, you’ll receive these for your hard work:

  • Apricorn x30
  • Tumblestone x30
  • Ball of Mud x20
