Waiting For Dodger is one of the first gigs you can experience once you gain the ability to fully explore Dogtown without any restrictions. This mission will lead you to Dodger’s base of operation and you’ll have to try and help Bill And Charles escape. Read below to find out the best way to infiltrate the building and deal with guards.

How to Start The Waiting For Dodger Gig in Cyberpunk 2077¶
Before you can start the Waiting For Dodger Gig you’ll need to progress through the main story until you’ve completed the mission Lucretia My Reflection which is the fourth mission in the expansion, so it should take you a couple of hours of gameplay to reach for most players. Upon completing the mission, you’ll want to exit the Dogtown Gate and take a left to see a vehicle parked beside some tents. Hop into the vehicle and speak with Stella and you’ll learn that she needs your help rescuing her fiance Bill and his friend as the job with Dodger went south.
Where to Find Bill and Charles¶
Once you’ve received the keycard from Stella, exit the vehicle and head into the building across the street, then you’ll want to try and stay undetected. Use the Distract Enemies Quickhack on the vending machine and wait for some of the enemies to investigate it before crouch walking into the small room on the left, then grab the guard and pull him into the back room before performing a non-lethal takedown. From here, head into the next room and distract them with the variety of equipment that’s scattered around, then creep up behind them and take them down.

Interact with the computer in the middle of the room and read the messages to discover Bill and Charles’s whereabouts, then you’ll want to use an elevator that can be found on the left side of the room and take it down to the basement. Perform a non-lethal takedown on the guard doing some work on the door, then speak with the person inside to get acquainted with Charlie. Help him open up the door and follow him into the back room and you’ll discover Bill overlooking a corpse. Wait for them to get their story straight, then you’ll need to help them escape.
Should You Lie or Tell Dodger The Truth?¶
Follow Bill and Charles and wait for them to open the door, then turn off the camera before sneaking up behind the guard and taking him down, then your great escape will be temporally stopped due to a locked door, so follow the cables into a control room and interact with the access point if you have correct Intelligence level. You’ll now want to override the control panel in the corner and return to Bill and Charles. Here you’ll be informed that there are enemies up ahead, so distract the guards with the generator and take them down when they aren’t looking.

Repeat the same process in the next room, then make your way into the garage to come face-to-face with Dodger. Here you’ll have the following choices “He’s telling the truth” or “He’s lying.” If you choose to back up Bill’s story, then a fight will break out and you’ll have to take down Dodger, but you’ll get a nice iconic Revolver as a result. Alternatively, if you haven’t killed any of Dodger’s men, then you’ll have the option to tell the truth and he’ll let you go, but there is no good reward for taking this route other than for fulfilling your roleplaying needs.
