Like most of the Beat on the Brat subquests, you’ll get an option to determine the exact nature of your reward by making a wager with your opponent before the fight.
Find and talk to Buck, your opponent for this bout, and he’ll express no shortage of confidence. Either offer to fight him for money alone, or mention his rifle and you can convince him to up the ante considerably and throw in his rifle.
- €$2900 “I accept your offer.”
- [Body] “Nice Rifle.”
- €$12000 “Toss in your sniper rifle.”
Bet Buck’s Rifle¶
Defeat Buck in fisticuffs and if you challenged for his rifle, he’ll prove to be a poor sport and sic his buddies on you, while he himself will recover his lost Health and attack. No need to restrain yourself here, your enemies are playing for keeps, so don’t bother with fisticuffs - defend yourself like you would from any other ganger thirsting for your blood. After dispatching Buck and his goons you can claim his iconic gun, O’Five.
Did Not Bet Buck’s Rifle¶
If you didn’t get Buck to put his gun on the line for this fight, he’ll still sulk afterwards, but you don’t need to fight him. You can, however, pick a fight with him afterwards:
- “That’s right, I am.”
- [Cool] “Relax. Just a sport.”
Respond with “That’s right, I am.” to provoke Buck and his crew. This is honestly the ideal way of going about this, because if you bet the €$12000, you won’t get that money back after the fight. Even if you didn’t get Buck to put up his gun, if you provoke him you can still take his iconic gun, O’Five after the fact.
If you do not get Buck to put up his gun and do not provoke him after the fight, you will not be able to acquire O’Five.
