Head to an alley in the southern end of Vista Del Ray, Heywood. Travel to the College St. fast travel terminal and cross two streets (either direction works) to get across diagonally from where you started. Head down the sidewalk until you reach the corner of Anderson St. Turn right at the corner here, and head down the sidewalk until you pass a large blue building (easy to pick out due to the “Malted Iguana Liquors” sign). Once you pass this building, immediately turn right to find a fence you can jump over. Do so and you’ll find a corpse on the ground, near which is the iconic weapon, Skippy.
Shortly after picking up the gun you’ll have to make a choice that affects how the weapon performs, as it’ll ask you which one of two modes you want to activate:
- “Stone Cold Killer”
- “Puppy-Loving Pacifist”
“Stone Cold Killer” mode will cause the gun’s smart bullets to seek out headshots, while “Puppy-Loving Pacifist” mode will cause its bullets to kneecap enemies. You’ll be locked into this choice until you defeat around fifty enemies with Skippy, so choose wisely.
After around fifty kills, the gun’s AI will give you a usage update, where it will ask you a question about the mode you chose earlier. If you opted for “Puppy-Loving Pacifist” you’ll get the following options:
- “Killing is wrong.”
- “I don’t know.”
- “I’m not having a conversation with my gun.”
If you want the gun to remain in “Puppy-Loving Pacifist” mode, pick the option “Killing is wrong.”*, otherwise it’ll permanently switch to “Stone Cold Killer” if you pick either of the other two options.
If you picked “Stone Cold Killer”, the gun will permanently switch to “Puppy-Loving Pacifist”. Nothing you say or do can change this.
