How to Solve the Mirror Puzzle in Jungle Path in Sea of Stars

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You will visit a lot of locations in Sea of Stars, and in those places, you will likely encounter plenty of puzzles. There is one such puzzle found in the Jungle Path that involves some mirrors, although you may be a little confused on what to do there. You won’t be able to complete this puzzle on your first pass through the area, as you need a key item from later in the story. This page will focus on how to solve that mirror puzzle in the Jungle Path.

The goal of the mirror puzzle is to open this cave.

What to Do with the Mirrors in Jungle Path in Sea of Stars

As mentioned above, when you first go through the Jungle Path area, you will see these little turbines that have mirrors attached to them. Hitting the turbines with your Mistral Bracelet will cause the mirrors to rotate, but nothing seems to really happen. The reason for that is you’re lacking a key item that you won’t get until a little later in the story, so this little puzzle will have to wait. That key item you’re missing is the Solstice Amulet, which you will get at the end of the Glacial Peak area.

This item will allow you to change the time of day, without needing the Celestial Runes. Once you have it, return to Jungle Path and make your way back to the mirrors. There will be three mirrors in total here, two of which are right next to each other, by the solstice beam. The other mirror is a little south of there, just across the bridge that you can raise, which comes out of the water. Speaking of that solstice beam of light, that also plays a part in the puzzle.

(1 of 4) Move the southern mirror so is it facing northeast.

Activating the night rune for that solstice beam will make a pedestal come out of the ground, on the eastern side of the area, which will fire a laser beam. The day rune will raise the mirrors to the proper height, so the beam will be reflected off of them. In case you didn’t know, you need to get the beam to hit the marker above the giant statue’s head north of the double mirrors. To start off with the puzzle, you want to align the mirrors into their correct position.

For the lone mirror, just past the wooden bridges, place it so it’s facing to the northeast. The other two mirrors will need to be facing the southeast (left one) and northwest (right one). With the mirrors in place, head to the celestial rune spot and turn it so you light the sun side first, making sure the mirrors rise out of the ground. That is your cue to then quickly switch over to the moon side and if done correctly, the beam will hit the marker above the statue’s head, opening a cave for you.

(1 of 2) The Lucent Crystal accessory is one of the rewards for solving this puzzle.

The Lucent Crystal accessory is one of the rewards for solving this puzzle. (left), You will also be able to reach the chest with the Rainbow Conch. (right)

Go inside, fight the enemies right there, then climb the vines in the back to reach a chest that contains the Lucent Crystal accessory. This one will increase the Live Mana that spawns upon getting a pre-emptive attack to two, which is pretty good. Hop over the little gap to the right and climb the rest of the way to the top. Follow the trail to the end, where you can exit the cave and find yourself on the upper ledge, right next to that statue’s head. Open up the chest there for a Rainbow Conch, your other reward for this puzzle.
