Where to Find All Flimsy Hammers in Sea of Stars

By
Jarrod Garripoli

There’s plenty of content in Sea of Stars and while most is meaningful in some way, some of it is just there to bring a smile to your face. Such is the case for the Flimsy Hammers, an item you might obtain and have no clue what to do with them. There’s a total of four Flimsy Hammers in the game and this page will tell you where to get them all, as well as where to use them.

How to Get the Flimsy Hammers in Sea of Stars

As mentioned above, there are four Flimsy Hammers in the game and none of them are going to be something you get right away. In fact, this is pretty much an endgame thing, so it’s best to just wait until then. One of the things you actually have to do is clear the True Ending of the game, to give you an idea of one of the requirements for this whole little optional quest.

There are four Flimsy Hammers to find in the game.

Flimsy Hammer 1

The first one you’re likely to get is the one for catching every type of fish in the game. If you get every fish as you go along with the main story, then you will get it whenever you reach the Cerulean Reservoir. However, there is a bit more to it than just getting one of every fish. After doing that, you need to head to Mirth and speak to the Fisherman there. If you don’t have him there, check out the All Mirth Villagers Locations page. Speak to the Fisherman and show him your collection, and he will hand over the Flimsy Hammer.

Flimsy Hammer 2

The second one you’re likely to get involves playing Wheels. You will have to beat every Champion match in the game, after which, you will be able to challenge The Watchmaker. You can find The Watchmaker at the top of the Clockwork Castle, but he will only play Wheels after you have beaten everyone else. After defeating The Watchmaker, he will give you the Flimsy Hammer.

Flimsy Hammer 3

For the third hammer, you will need to find all of the Question Packs and unlock the Quiz Master. Once you do, go through all of the questions there (better go with both Casual and Expert), you will receive the Flimsy Hammer as a bonus.

Flimsy Hammer 4

There’s really not much to say about this one, as you need to finish the game with the True Ending. You will get the Flimsy Hammer during the True Ending.

Where to Use the Flimsy Hammers in Sea of Stars

Upon collecting all four Flimsy Hammers, you may be wondering where to use them. Well, the one place you thought was nothing more than an homage to the backers of the game is actually hiding a little secret. That is the Ancient Crypt, found on Settlers Island, the same place where Mirth is located. When you enter the Crypt, make your way to the room with the Cryptwalker. There are a bunch of little circles on the ground, which are actually teleporters to rooms that contain the backers’ names on gravestones.

(1 of 4) Take this teleporter in the Ancient Crypt.

Only one of these will take you where you need to be. Look at the column in the very center and go straight to the teleporter in the far back. Take this one and look on the right side of the room, where you should see that one of the gravestones is broken. Use your Mistral Bracelet to move the gravestone out of the way, revealing a ladder. Take the ladder down to a tunnel and follow it, where you’ll come to a wall that is “flimsy.”

There will be four of these walls, so use the Flimsy Hammers to break them all and follow the path to a room with a cupboard in it. Try to open it a few times and enjoy the easter egg that follows!
