What To Do With Rainbow Conches in Sea of Stars?

By
Jarrod Garripoli

Collectibles are a part of gaming and you will find that even Sea of Stars will have one, in the form of Rainbow Conches. You will come across these early on in your adventure, but may be wondering what they are, since they go under the Key Items category in your inventory. The only clue you have to go on is that they might interest a collector. This page will provide an overview of Rainbow Conches, where you turn them in, as well as the rewards for doing so.

Mirna can be found in Docarria Village and will gladly accept your Rainbow Conches.

Where to Hand in Rainbow Conches in Sea of Stars

As you’re exploring the various locations in Sea of Stars, you will undoubtedly come across some special chests that are different than the others. These chests are blue in color and have a shell on the front of them. They are usually fairly hidden and might require you to solve a small puzzle, in order to reach them. Sometimes, you will see one on your first trip through a locale, but won’t be able to get to the chest, due to requiring an item you acquire later on in the story. In addition to the chests, you will also get some Rainbow Conches from helping out NPCs on your adventure, as well as from completing some of the various mini-games. That’s why it’s as important as ever to speak to every single person you come across, as you never know if they’ll give you an incentive to do something extra.

Once you have progressed far enough in the story, you will reach a place called Docarri Village. This is a decent ways into the game, so you can expect it at around the 10-12 hour mark. Once you arrive at the village, look for the child on the right side of the village, named Mirna. She will be the person who is collecting the Rainbow Conches, so that is who you’ll be handing them over to.

All Rainbow Conch Rewards in Sea of Stars

Now that you’ve found the person collecting the Rainbow Conches, you are probably wondering if it’s even worth doing. Well, if you plan on getting all of the Trophies/Achievements, then you will want to do this little side quest. There are at least four of them tied to collecting the Rainbow Conches, since they indirectly affect other aspects of the game. The following list is what you can unlock as you hand in the Rainbow Conches:

Rainbow Conches Reward Notes
4 Something social Inn Plans for Mirth
11 Something useful Cornucopia item
19 Something transactional Shop Plans for Mirth
22 Something bountiful Fishing Hut Plans for Mirth
27 Something shrewd Falcon-Eyed Parrot (Relic)
35 Something healthy Recipe: Poutine
39 Something relaxing Spa Plans for Mirth
47 Something potent Recipe: Pudding Chomeur
60 Something meta Rainbow Star

Most of these items are better than they look. For example, the Cornucopia item will increase your party’s max HP by 20 whenever you use it. Likewise, the Falcon-Eyed Parrot Relic is amazing, since it will allow you to basically find all of the treasures in the plethora of areas across the game. If you plan on doing everything in Sea of Stars, then you will want to hunt these items down.
