You will visit many different locations in Sea of Stars, and as you explore these places, you will come across many treasure chests. It’s always a good idea to open the chests that you find, since you can obtain new equipment, or even key items that might be used later. This page will detail the locations of every chest you can find in the Kiln Mountain dungeon of the game.
Treasure Chest 1¶
The first chest is located on a ledge as you fall down not that far from the entrance. In fact, you will see the chest as you’re falling, so you’ll know where it’s found. Upon landing in the water after the fall, climb the ledge to the left and use the geyser to start ascending the shaft once more. As you keep going up, there will be a few more geysers, and you’ll land on the spot with the chest, which contains an Igneous Staff for Valere.
Treasure Chest 2¶
Follow the main path in the dungeon, until you reach a large room with a bunch of rock spikes on the ground. You can’t do anything with these normally, but as you follow the trail, you will find a large boulder that you can move around with your Mistral Bracelet. Right next to where you found it will be a chest, so roll the boulder into the spikes to break them and access the chest (Rainbow Conch).
Treasure Chest 3¶
This is in the same room as the previous one. The first boulder was for that specific chest, but there will be another one found to the north, which allows you to carry on with the main story bit here. As you blow this boulder through the spikes on the right side of the room, you will eventually uncover a climbable wall. Take this wall over to a small area with the chest (Volcanic Armor).
Treasure Chest 4¶
Right after the room with the boulders and the spikes, you will come to another area, where you have to blow some rock pillars into the lava. This will allow you to get across to the right. You should see an enemy up on a ledge, who will run away from you. Follow this enemy north and you’ll fight that one, as well as another that busts through the nearby wall. After defeating both enemies, look where the enemy came out of the wall, as it’s a hole you can enter. Do so and you will find the final chest of the dungeon, the Magic Pocket. This is a great accessory, as it allows you to use an item each round without it spending the character’s turn.
