A lot of games will have something for the player to collect, and Sea of Stars is no exception. In this game, you will be able to collect items called Rainbow Conches, which seemingly look like nothing at first glance, but they do become quite important in the long run. They have their own chests (colored blue), which are usually hidden quite well, and you will sometimes get them from helping out NPCs. This page will detail the locations of every Rainbow Conch in the Port Town of Brisk.
Rainbow Conch 1¶
Look in this area to find the chest with a Rainbow Conch.
When you first enter the town during the main story, just follow the story until you meet with the pirates inside the tavern. The reason for doing this is because they have signs set up that block certain parts of the town. Once they are cleared, follow the main path from the entrance of the town, all the way to the docks. Upon reaching the docks, head west to a little clearing, where you’ll see a chest in the corner, which contains the Rainbow Conch.
Rainbow Conch 2¶
For the second one, you will need to find the Hidden Market in the town. From the previous one, follow the dock east and then southeast, where you’ll see the save point. Just south of the save point is a pier, so go to the end and jump into the water. Swim underneath the pier, going straight up, and you’ll uncover the Hidden Market. There will be a chest on the left side, with the Rainbow Conch.

Rainbow Conch 3¶
Exit the Hidden Market and swim to the west, where you’ll want to be on the lookout for a small boat with a father and son. Speak to the son and he will ask you to give 40 filets, so they can stop with the actual fishing. You will need to head to any of the fishing spots in the world and get the fish that give you filets (the other gives a shrimp-like ingredient). If you run out of fish at a spot, just exit and re-enter to respawn the fish. Once you have the 40 filets, give them to the boy and he will give you a Rainbow Conch in return.
Rainbow Conch 4¶
This one is gotten from the Mr. Chest Minigame. There is a building you can enter with an NPC and three chests. You can only open one of the chests each attempt, and the goal is to find the chest with the 10G inside. Do this five times (doesn’t have to be in a row) and you’ll receive a Rainbow Conch.

Rainbow Conch 5¶
In the southeastern corner of the town, on the beach, you will find two mole children playing in the sand. Simply go up and talk to them, and they will hand over a Rainbow Conch.
Rainbow Conch 6¶
This one is very well hidden, with it located in a secret room inside the town itself. To start, head over to where the shops are located on the docks and take the stairs in between them. Continue straight north until you reach the fountain, then look for the stairs to the northwest of it. This area is where the entrance to the Golden Pelican is located, but you’re not going there. Instead of going into that little plaza there, continue straight up more stairs and head east, straight into the building. You’ll be on the upper floor of the building here, and you’re going to the exit on the eastern side.
If done right, you should now be on a small balcony with a wooden box. Push this box off the balcony, and to the floor below you. Drop down and push the same box right and up, then climb it to reach the ledge to your north. Continue north and follow the path behind the building, going west and then south, until you enter a hidden room. Inside that room is the chest with the Rainbow Conch.
Note that later on in the story (you’ll know when), you won’t be able to take the above path to the Rainbow Conch, in case you missed it then. However, it is still obtainable, as there isn’t anything actually missable in the game. If you come back later, head straight to the fountain like before and continue north from there. You should see a NPC looking out into the horizon there, with some rubble just to the right. You can enter a secret passage in that rubble, which will lead to the same room as above, with the chest.
Rainbow Conch 7¶
(1 of 4) Speak to this NPC in Brisk, once the town is rebuilt, to start a side quest.
The last one in town is one you won’t be able to get until later in the story. You will need to wait until after the story events at Mirth, a new town that will be founded. Once you’re done there, head back to Brisk and find the mole NPC to the left of the save point. She mentions wanting to be painted, so you’ll need to find someone to do that. This is a short side quest and you can find the entire walkthrough on the Mole Painting Side Quest page. Once you find the painter, return to Brisk and speak to him to get the Rainbow Conch.
