All Chests in Forbidden Cavern in Sea of Stars

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You will visit many different locations in Sea of Stars, and as you explore these places, you will come across many treasure chests. It’s always a good idea to open the chests that you find, since you can obtain new equipment, or even key items that might be used later. This page will detail all of the treasure chests found in the Forbidden Cavern dungeon.

Treasure Chest 1

The first chest you will likely come across is after the first room with the enemies. After taking out the Luslugs and solving the little platform form, you will exit on the right side and be on an upper level from the first room. Upon crossing over to the right side, head south to find the chest (Adventurer’s Vest).

(1 of 2) The first chest is after your first battle with the Luslugs.

Treasure Chest 2

As you continue through the dungeon, you will find a similar puzzle to the first room with the Luslugs, where you have to stand on one platform to make another one rise out of the ground. This second puzzle will have a keyhole on the one side and above the keyhole is the chest. To get it, climb the left set of platforms, then make your way to the platform on the right side. Jump onto it to make the left set rise up, which will allow you to climb up to reach the chest (Forbidden Cavern Key).

Treasure Chest 3 & 4

After getting the above key and using it on the lock, you will pass through a small room, where you can pick up the Mending Light combo skill. To the right of the combo skill pick-up is a basket that contains a Mushroom Soup. If you look closely, there is a chest to the left of the combo skill, slightly hidden behind the pillar; this chest contains a Shiny Pearl.

Treasure Chest 5

You will find this chest in the room after you obtain the Mending Light combo skill. Climb the wall, then cross the tightrope to the left side of the room. The chest will be out in the open and will contain a Leeching Thorn accessory.

Treasure Chest 6 & 7

You won’t find these until you defeat the Bosslug boss fight at the end of the dungeon. After downing the giant slug, head into the opening where it came from to find two chests just sitting there for you, which contain another Adventurer’s Vest and 60G.

Treasure Chest 8

This chest will be unavailable to you until you obtain the Mistral Bracelet key item, later on in the story. You will also have to wait until you can return to Evermist Island, as that will also be inaccessible until a little past getting the above item. Once you have it and can get back to Evermist, enter the dungeon from the southern entrance and go into the first room on the left, where you fought the first set of enemies. Before hopping over the gap, you should see a stone block on the northern side of the room. Use your Mistral Bracelet to move it to the side, revealing the chest with the Rainbow Conch.
