Sea of Stars

All Rainbow Conch Locations on Evermist Island in Sea of Stars

By
Jarrod Garripoli

A lot of games will have something for the player to collect, and Sea of Stars is no exception. In this game, you will be able to collect items called Rainbow Conches, which seemingly look like nothing at first glance, but they do become quite important in the long run. They have their own chests, which are usually hidden quite well, and you will sometimes get them from helping out NPCs. This page will focus on the locations of all Rainbow Conches on Evermist Island, which includes Mooncradle, Forbidden Cavern, Mountain Trail, and the Elder Mist Trials.

There will be a total of five Rainbow Conches on Evermist Island.

All Rainbow Conch Locations in Mooncradle

There are two Conches to be found in Mooncradle, both related to helping out some NPCs. Note that you won’t be able to get them on your first visit to the town, as you need to wait until after the events at Mirth (when you first find the place) to be able to return. Double back to X’tol’s Landing and use the large creature there to return to Evermist Island, which is when you can collect all of the Rainbow Conches.

Rainbow Conch 1

(1 of 2) This NPC needs some help tidying up the nearby leaves.

This NPC needs some help tidying up the nearby leaves. (left), Use your Mistral Bracelet to blow them into the central pile. (right)

The first Rainbow Conch in Mooncradle involves a NPC on the eastern side of the village. She will be trying to gather all of the leaves in a single pile, and you can help her do just that. Use your Mistral Bracelet to move all of the smaller leaves into the central pile. Note that you can blow them diagonally, too, so you’re not stuck with just the four basic directions. Once all of the leaves are on the central pile, speak with the NPC again to receive your Rainbow Conch.

Rainbow Conch 2

For the second Conch, head to the western side of Mooncradle and enter the building to the south of the field. The NPC here wants to work the field, but there are thorns in the way. Head to the field and you should see the thorns, as well as two boxes. Use your Mistral Bracelet to push the boxes over the thorns, which will destroy them. For a detailed guide, follow the steps below:

(1 of 3) This NPC wants you to clear the field of the thorns.

  • Push top box left, then down (2 thorns)
  • Push the same box to the right (2 more thorns)
  • Push that box to the left
  • Push bottom box to the right, up, left, down, then right (2 more thorns)
  • Push that same box to the left
  • Push box on bottom to right, up, left, down, then right (final thorn)

Once you have gotten rid of all of the thorns, return to the NPC to get your Rainbow Conch.

All Rainbow Conch Locations in Forbidden Cavern

(1 of 2) Take the first left from the southern entrance in the Forbidden Cavern.

Take the first left from the southern entrance in the Forbidden Cavern. (left), Move this block with the Mistral Bracelet to get the conch. (right)

You won’t be able to get this one on your first visit, since you need an item you get later on in the game (Mistral Bracelet) and once you leave Evermist Island at the beginning, you have to wait a while to be able to return. From the southern entrance (Mooncradle side), enter the main cave and take the first left. You should see a stone block just north of you, so use the Mistral Bracelet to move it left or right, revealing a small alcove with the Rainbow Conch chest.

All Rainbow Conch Locations in Mountain Trail

(1 of 2) The Graplou is needed in order to cross this gap.

The Graplou is needed in order to cross this gap. (left), You will be rewarded with a Rainbow Conch chest. (right)

Similar to the previous one, you will need to wait until you have the Graplou item, so you can’t get this on your first visit. From the southern entrance on the world map, head to the first fork and take a right. Climb the shortcut ladder you knocked down on your first visit to this place and look to the right to see a grapple point. The chest with the Rainbow Conch will be in plain sight after grappling across the gap.

All Rainbow Conch Locations in Elder Mist Trials

(1 of 2) You can re-enter the Trials by interacting with this swirl of clouds.

You can re-enter the Trials by interacting with this swirl of clouds. (left), The left path has a block to move with the Mistral Bracelet, which is hiding the conch. (right)

Yep, you guessed it! You won’t be able to get this until the later visit, since you need the Mistral Bracelet. If you forgot where the Elder Mist Trials were located, go to the northern entrance of the Mountain Trail and use the runes to cross the light bridges. The swirling clouds on the ground will be the entrance. Make your way to the three different paths and take the one on the left. Right before the stairs, you should see a stone block on the left. Push it out of the way with your Mistral Bracelet and loot the chest behind it for the Rainbow Conch.
