How To Unlock¶
Capture at least one of every fiend in the Omega Ruins:
- Black Element
- Floating Death
- Halma
- Machea
- Master Coeurl
- Master Tonberry
- Puroboros
- Spirit
- Varuna
- Zaurus
Strategy¶
Vorban is definitely a challenging Creation, as it has a pretty high amount of HP, as well as decent defense. It is immune to Armor Break, which is a problem, as Vorban is armored, so there is nothing you can do about that. Despite that, though, you will want to use Celestial Weapons, since they ignore defense, although they don’t have innate Piercing on them. However, Aeons usually do have Piercing, so you can use them to help whittle down its health. As far as its offense goes, it’s pretty similar to Barbatos, as it has the same moves.
It has a chance to counter with Mortar, which does magical damage to the entire party, so you can cut down on it some with Shell. It can also use Mortar randomly, as well as Body Splash, which hits the entire party physically. So, you will want both Protect and Shell on your entire party. Other than that, it has a normal attack. If you decide to use Aeons, it will counter with its normal attack, so you won’t have to worry about the Mortar counter. Having Anima or the Magus Sisters is ideal, since they both break the 9,999 damage limit without needing any Celestial Weapons.
