The Anacondaur can be found in the Calm Lands, usually throughout, but there seems to be a higher chance near the entrance and in the northwest portion of the plains area. You will always encounter two at a time. They will always open with Stone Gaze, which will petrify a character. Target them three times and they will use an attack called Sonic Tail, which hits the entire party for some bigger damage. The good thing about Sonic Tail is that it won’t actually shatter petrified characters. If you use Provoke on them, their Stone Gaze’s accuracy goes down. The only thing you can’t use against them is Thunder-based attacks, as they will absorb it.
