The Sandragora can be found in the Sanubia Desert, but it isn’t a normal random encounter. There are found in the sand pits in the northern part of the desert, and you trigger an encounter with them by running into the creature (they are guarding some of the treasure chests). You really only have to fight a single one to proceed, though. They do have quite a bit of HP and their Seed Burst attack will always inflict Confusion. The Sandragoras will absorb Water, so you will want to switch to a different weapon for Tidus, if you’re using the Brotherhood; they are weak to Fire, though, and are armored, so melee attackers will need Piercing on their weapon. You can flee from the Sandragoras, making them a great source of Remedies and Musks.
