With every Call of Duty, there is always some new form of feature, and for MW3, there are a few. Yet, one of the most refreshing ones is the new multiplayer loadout change feature called Conversion kits. Essentially, players unlock new parts that allow you to convert a weapon into an entirely different form. Typically, it offers you a complete change in the gun’s profile, allowing you to get an entirely fresh take on the weapon. Here’s a closer look at the conversion kits in MW3, and what you can expect.
All MW3 Conversion Kits at Launch
As it currently stands, the CoD developers have only released a few of the conversion kits to the game. We will gradually update this list with more information on what to expect from the feature as the multiplayer goes live and we see what guns have them. The current plan is for 6 of the Aftermarket Conversion Kits at launch, with more coming through Pre-Season and seasonal content updates. In addition, if you missed the seasonal challenge with the weapon, then you can expect them to become attachments to the gun later on in future seasons. This allows players to go back and get any challenges they may have missed if they want to play with those kits. Also, it’s worth noting that each conversion kit comes with special attachments, known as Aftermarket Parts. These Aftermarket Parts are attachments designed for the conversion kits, offering some special options for those new playstyles. For example, the Renetti Conversion kit can gain the WSP Akimbo Aftermarket option, giving your now full auto pistols turn into an Akimbo MP7-style weapon. These aftermarket parts can be unlocked by challenges too, which we will only be aware of at launch.
