How to Find the Legendary Chest in the Myrkr Tunnels

As you make your way through the Myrkr Tunnels you will encounter a number of oil barrels, and some pools of oil that have spilled from them. You can ignite both of these by holding DualSense-L2 to aim and pressing DualSense-R2 to execute a heavy ranged attack with the Blades of Chaos. Look out for both of these, as shown in the screenshots below, as you move throughout the tunnels and be ready to ignite them to find your way through.

You will soon reach an area in the tunnels where there is natural light shining down upon a circular floorspace. You’ll need to kill a few Grims here before Sindri turns up and asks to speak with you. After speaking with him, head south by moving the cart of goods to the left. Once on the other side, turn left (heading east) to find a tunnel with two sets of brambles either side of you. You need to burn the one on the right by igniting the barrel in front of it, then igniting the spilled oil on the ground.

You can now head down the tunnel to the south which the brambles were blocking to find the Legendary Chest at the end.

(1 of 5) Kill the Grims in the light area shown here.

How to Solve the Two Gate Puzzles in Myrkr Tunnels

After looting the Legendary Chest and proceeding deeper into the Myrkr Tunnels, you’ll soon encounter a gate puzzle with two gears operating it. You need to throw your axe into the first gear and then shoot a Sigil Arrow at it to extend the duration of it being fixed in place. You can then summon the Leviathan Axe to hit the stone just to the left of the first gear, thereby opening the gate, as shown in the gif below.

With the gate open you can proceed into the next room where you’ll find a Bergsra that you need to kill. After dealing with it there’s another puzzle involving the flow of water in the water wheel troughs above a small gate on the southern side of the room. All you need to do for this one is throw the Leviathan Axe into the trough directly above the water wheel to the right of the gate, as shown in the gif below.

The Nornir Chest Puzzle in Myrkr Tunnels

On the other side of the small tunnel that you crawled through beyond the gate shown in the gif above, you’ll find the Nornir Chest. This one is actually fairly easy, but one of the braziers is deceptively hidden in plain sight behind some boxes on the northern wall, and another requires the use of the Leviathan Axe to create an oil spill, and the Sigil Arrows / Blades of Chaos to ignite the oil spill. You can ignite the braziers in any order, but be sure to check the screenshots below to see exactly what you need to do.

(1 of 4) The N brazier is easy to ignite opposite the Nornir Chest.

If you still need help to solve this Nornir Chest puzzle, see the video below.

Where to Find the Yggdrasil Rift in the Myrkr Tunnels

The final collectible in the Myrkr Tunnels can be obtained after passing through another gate puzzle in the main room where you found the second one, with the waterwheels and troughs. The gate is on the northern side of this room and you need to throw the Leviathan Axe into two troughs to redirect the flow of water, using Sigil Arrows in the process to ensure that you can use the axe twice. The first axe needs to be thrown into the trough above the gate to the right, and the second just above the wheel to the left of the gate, as shown in the gif below.

Once you’re on the other side of the gate, you need to defeat two Bergsra and a number of lesser enemies before you can loot the Yggdrasil Rift, which can be found in the same room.

(1 of 6) Throw the Leviathan Axe in this point above the gate to the right.
