The Shores of Nine region can be found north, northeast of the Lake of Nine, just vault over a wooden beam and crawl under a stone pillar and you’re there.

How to Find the Shores of Nine

The Shores of Nine location is a subregion in the Lake of Nine, in Midgard. While you’ll travel to Midgard a few times early in the game, you won’t really get the opportunity to explore it properly until the main quest The Word of Fate. After this point, any time you’re free to explore you can return to Midgard and seek out collectibles.

Like most areas in Midgard, the Shores of Nine is peripheral to the Lake of Nine, being found north and northeast of Tyr’s Temple. This subregion is pretty fragmented, and you’ll have to explore it piecemeal to score all the collectibles. North of Tyr’s Temple you’ll find a realm tower, which has two openings on its southern face. The right (east) opening can be scaled, and you’ll find one of the region’s collectibles within. The other collectibles can be found further east; vault over some wood, then lift a stone out of the way to reach the larger section of the Shores of Nine.

Climb into a realm tower along the northern end of the Lake of Nine to find the Stolen Treasure - Fert Artifact.

North of Tyr’s Temple you’ll find a realm tower, which has two openings on its southern facade. Climb up into the right (east) opening using the Blades of Chaos, then jump a gap to the north - you’ll find the Stolen Treasures - Fert lying on the ground.

From Tyr’s Temple head north, northeast (between the realm towers at roughly 12-o’clock and 1-o’clock), jump over a wooden beam, then push a stone pillar out of the way. Beyond the rock you’ll be forced to turn left (west) and you’ll reach a fork where you’ll find some brambles to the right (north), some rubble to the west, and a path to the left (south). Head south, climb a ledge and follow the linear path, ultimately jumping a ledge and continuing onward to reach the side of a realm tower. You’ll find the first of this region’s Yggdrasil Rifts here, and if you reach into it you’ll disturb several Dark Elves, which must be pacified before the rift can be closed.

(1 of 2) To reach the second Yggdrasil Rift, burn away some brambles to free the lift,

To reach the second rift, continue southeast to the realm tower and burn some brambles. This will allow you to turn a wheel nearby and summon the elevator, which you can then ride up to the top of the realm tower. You’ll find the second Yggdrasil Rift up here, and unlike the previous rift, there’s no drama with this one - just reach in and loot it.

Ascend the Alfheim Tower, then circle around to flank the Loot Lizard, a vantage from which the pesky vermin can be slain.

Starting from the second Yggdrasil Rift atop the Alfheim Tower (see above), make your way south, southwest from the Mystic Gateway then turn left (southeast) and head down a ramp. Follow the linear path to reach the other side of the tower, then turn left southwest to drop down a ledge and pass under a gate. Turn right (northwest) and you’ll spot the Loot Lizard ahead of you, just downhill. It can’t see you from this vantage, so just kill it with a ranged attack and loot it.

(1 of 5) Crawl through some rubble,

After you leap over the wooden beam and pass under the stone pillar, continue on until you reach the fork where you’ll find some brambles to the right (north), some rubble to the west, and a path to the left (south). Crawl through the rubble to the west and when you emerge you’ll need to put down a pair of Frost Gradungrs. Do so, then search north of the rubble to find some brambles. Burn them away and you’ll find the Rune Read: Tyr’s Right Bracer and the buried treasure Waist Guard of Guiding Light. For some reason the former doesn’t count as a Lore collectible, but it will meet the “Guiding Light” collectible for this region.
