Monster Hunter Generations

6-star Requests

By
Vincent Lau

The are markedly fewer village requests this time around, but they will all be listed here anyways. They offer some pretty sweet rewards and unlocks so you should make sure you complete them.

The Perilous Pair

Objective: Hunt a Rathalos and a Rathian

Location: Verdant Hills

Subquest: None

Notes: To see this request from the Argosy Captain in Kokoto Village, you need to complete the 2-star Hunter’s Hub quest “Ahoy! Royal Ludroth”. This quest is a real pain. Similar to other double monster quests, Rathalos and Rathian frequent the same areas and it’s not unusual for them to follow each other around since they’re, well…an item. Bring Flash Bombs for both, especially Rathalos, and bring Dung Bombs to preserve your sanity.

Completion of this quest plus all of Argosy Captain’s village delivery requests will unlock the 7-star Hunter’s Hub quest “Into the Maelstrom”. You’ll also receive the weapon craft unlock for the Bowgun Aquamatic Needle.

The Heros Journey

Objective: Hunt a Tigrex

Location: Arctic Ridge

Subquest: Wound Tigrex’s head

Notes: You’ve already hunted one Tigrex, since you need to complete “Tigrex by the Tail” before you can see this from Pokke Village’s Armory Granny before this pops up. Complete this quest to unlock the 6-star Hunter’s Hub quest “Desert Brawlers”. You’ll also receive new weapon crafts unock to make the Dual Blades Heroic Twins .

Drawing the Waterline

Objective: Hunt all large monsters (Royal Ludroth, Royal Ludroth, Lagiacrus)

Location: Misty Peaks

Subquest: Earn 700 Wycademy Points

Notes: You need to complete the 4-star village quest “Hunt-a-thon: Velocidrome” before this pops up. Then, talk to Trenya in Pokke Village. This quest will start you off fighting two Royal Ludroth at once, so chances of them being in the same area are pretty high. After that, Lagiacrus will spawn all by its lonesome, so that should be easier to deal with!

The Bellowing Zinogre

Objective: Hunt a Zinogre

Location: Misty Peaks

Subquest: Mount and topple monster twice

Notes: You need to complete “Tuff Turf” before you see this request. Then, talk to the Uppity Instructor in Yukumo Village. You’ve already hunted Zinogre before so this one is basically the same. Except now that when you complete it, you receive a new Kitchen ingredient: Master Ale! This is the ingredient that will let you craft dishes guaranteed to give you the wonderful Felyne Insurance , by the way. Felyne Insurance makes your first cart not count!

Advanced: Out of the Fry Pan

Objective: Hunt all large monsters (Deviljho, Tigrex, Nargacuga)

Location: Arena

Subquest: None

Notes: You need to complete “The Fated Four” before this pops up, then talk to the Yukumo Village Chief. Take note though… these monsters have High Rank power and health . So don’t even think about attempting to battle it out with your pitiful Low Rank gear unless you are a savant at this game. As usual, the monsters are fought one-on-one back to back.
