Lagiacrus is the flagship monster of Monster Hunter Tri and was known in Moga Village for being accused of causing earthquakes. Lagiacrus is an electric-wielding Leviathan, just as capable on land as it is in the water. And a good thing too (for itself, not you), since underwater battles are a thing of the distant past in Monster Hunter Generations . Instead, you get to deal with beefed up electric attacks from its shell shockers, most of which definitely shouldn’t be scoffed at.
Lagiacrus is weakest to fire. Its horns will deflect most weapons, but breaking them nets you valuable rewards.
Attack
Explanation
Slithering Charge
Lagiacrus will slither forward to bowl over you. When enraged, it cloaks its body in electricity for added power.
Hipcheck
Lagiacrus will slowly position itself so that its profile faces you, then it will sidewind towards you rapidly to deal hefty damage. Aerial Style dodges aren’t quite tall enough to get over its hitbox without some luck and skill. When enraged, it cloaks its body in electricity for added power.
Double Chomp
Lagiacrus will chomp forward at the air twice, covering a lot of ground and swinging its head from side to side at a pretty large angle, giving this attack deceptively large range. Steer clear.
Lightning Shock
Lagiacrus will coil up, and then release electricity from its shell shockers. The duration of the wind-up will indicate the power and range of the resulting discharge. So run away!
Lightning Puddle
Lagiacrus will swing its head back and forth twice, each time spitting up a large glob of electricity that will cause a huge area of explosion in front of it after discharging three times. You definitely want to stay close to Lagiacrus’s body if you can, as it as HUGE range.
Lightning Orbit
Lagiacrus will spin in a circle, generating three electric orbs that will orbit its body in a gradually increasing radius. When close to its body, they’ll probably hit you and annoy you, so weave your way between them so that you can attack it again!
Electric Spit
The not-so-threatening lightning attack, Lagiacrus will fire an electro ball from its mouth. Just one, simple little electro ball.
Body Whip
Lagiacrus will coil up, and then rapidly uncoil itself to whip its tail at you.
