Vincent Lau

The poison princess.

Similar to her male counterpart, Rathian has been around since the very beginning and is as proud and beautiful as she was when she first appeared in Monster Hunter . Unlike Rathalos, Rathian prefers to fight on the ground and won’t be taking flight as often. This works in your favor and will make her easier to make war with. Rathian has a poisonous tail and won’t hesitate to use it on you with her trademark ability to backflip if she’s flying, though! So be sure to bring antidotes.

Rathian is weakest to Dragon and Thunder.

Attack Explanation
Side Chomp Weak and pitiful, Rathian will chomp to the side a little bit. Meh.
Fireball Rathian will spit out a fire ball at you. Sometimes it will spit out three in different directions instead.
Charge Rathian will run towards you. It will usually perform this attack three times before stopping, and if tired will crash and fall when it’s done.
Double 180 Tailswing Rathian will turn 180 degrees twice, its rigid tail whipping through the air as it does so.
Backflip Rathian’s most powerful and deadly attack, it will take flight right above the ground and then suddenly backflip in the air to whack you with its tail. Deals heavy damage and poisons. Rathian can perform this up to three times in a row.
Flame Bursa Rathian will stand on the ground and breathe fire, but instead of standard fire balls, she’ll just cause a giant explosion of flame right in front of her, as if setting off a bomb.
Flying Charge Instead of running at you, Rathian will fly low above the ground at you as fast as it can. Will only perform this once, thankfully.
