Replace the fireballs with poison balls and you have Gypceros with a few extra gimmicks thrown in. Gypceros’s biggest trademarks are its crest, which it can use to cast blinding light, and its tail, which is made of stretchy rubber material capable of extending beyond the length you think it is. Be sure to bring some Antidotes, Gypceros loves to spread the poison love around!
Gypceros is weakest to Fire.
Attack | Explanation |
---|---|
Side Chomp | Gypceros will lunge forward a little bit and snap to its left. Easy to dodge, but its tail will swing up a little and can knock you on your butt. |
Triple Peck | Gypceros will charge at you and then peck at the ground. If tired, Gypceros’s head will slam into the ground and it’ll get stuck |
Poison Spit | Gypceros will spit up a glob of poison from a distance. The poison will hang around in a puddle for a little while, so steer clear |
Poison Spit Charge | Gypceros will run forward and spit up poison balls to its left and right as it goes. |
Tail Whip | There are two flavors. The first is the standard double 180 tail swing, and the second is one where Gypceros stands still and flicks its tail to the left and right, use its rubbery skin to greatly extend the range of this attack! |
Flash | Gypceros will use its crest to generate a blinding flash of light. Unless you use a shield, an adept dodge, or other means of invincibility, you will be stunned! Break its crest to disable this attack |
Back Hop | Gypceros will hop back to distance itself. If you’re close to where it lands, you’ll flinch from the wind pressure |
