Monster Hunter Generations

Kokoto Village

By
Vincent Lau

Village of beginnings, Kokoto Village

Kokoto Village is the very first of the villages! It made its headlines in the first Monster Hunter, and was also present in Monster Hunter 2 and both games’ respective spinoffs. This is a village with history! If you go into your house after you’ve defeated the Rathalos in the solo campaign, you’ll find a mysterious sword which will kickstart a new chain of quests to complete. Just like the other hubs, you’ll find all your necessities (smithy, your house, kitchen, market, etc.) here.

Kokoto Village is closest in proximity to the Verdant Hills.

The Kokoto Chief , an aged Wyverian retired hunter, will usually have several village requests for you to handle. So be sure to talk to him every now and then. I’m sure he appreciates the company while he recovers from some unexplained injury that has but a stopper in his career.

Just like the other three villages, Kokoto will have its fair share of characters from previous installments drop in and hang around for as long as you’re playing this game. They will often have requests for you, and can be visited at any time if you want some nostalgia.
