By

Materials Required to Make a Pickhammer

To make a Pickhammer, you’ll need x4 stone and x2 wood. Before you have any sort of equipment or tools to gather these items, you’ll need to go out and rummage through scrap piles to find the required materials.

How to Find Stone

Just outside the perimeter of your workshop you’ll find a junk pile that will yield some stone amongst other other materials, such as dregs and dinas.

Start shovelling through the junk pile with your hands to harvest basic materials!

How to Find Wood

Wood can be found by searching through wood piles or by chopping at wood scraps also found nearby the workshop. To chop at wood scraps, you’ll first need to obtain an axe. Conveniently, you’ll be able to find an axe half buried in your yard!

You can also use your axe to chop down bushes for wood, but don’t ever chop down trees! It’s bad for the environment, the town will hate you and you’ll be fined!

First pick up the axe (left), then search for some wooden scraps with an axe symbol hovering over them! (right)

Once you have all materials, return to your yard and use the worktable to craft a pickhammer!

How to Use a Pickhammer

The pickhammer can now be used to shovel through larger piles of different kinds of scraps. Just make sure to equip it in your hotbar and then get to work! You’ll find some things can’t be collected with a stone pickhammer and at some point you’ll need to upgrade by crafting bronze tools!

Use your pickhammer to mine new scraps.
