This page offers a guide on how to build the Sorting Machine, which you’ll need to build during the Keep on Rockin’ main quest.

How to Unlock the Sorting Machine Blueprint¶

You’ll be able to ask Qi for a blueprint for the Sorting Machine when you take on the main quest Keep on Rockin’, in which Rocky and the crew at Eufaula Salvage ask you to make them a machine for their yard. You’ll have to give Qi 5 Data Discs and also wait a day until you get the diagram though!

Required Materials to Build Sorting Machine¶

To make the Sorting Machine for Eufaula Salvage, you’ll need x2 Metal Coils, x6 Copper Screws, x4 Bearings and x4 Bronze Plates. For those materials, you’ll need the following raw resources:

• 57 Copper Ore
• 24 Tin Ore
• 4 Bearings (from Mechanical Scraps)
• 2 Metal Coils

How to Get Bronze Plates¶

Bronze Plates can be made in the Processor. You’ll need 3 Bronze Bars for each Bronze Plate, meaning you need a total of x12 Bronze Bars for 4 Bronze Plates.

How to Make Bronze Bars¶

Bronze Bars can be made in the Furnace with x3 Copper Ore and x2 Tin Ore. If you’re making all 12 Bronze Bars, you’ll need x48 Copper Ore and x24 Tin Ore.

The main way obtain these materials is to mine them in Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins.

How to Get Copper Ore¶

Copper Ore is the most abundant ore in the mines. It can be found on the first level of the Abandoned Ruins and you’ll be able to get hundreds of the stuff in no time. You’ll get the most Copper Ore from mining big Copper Crystals found in the mines, but you’ll also get some ore from clearing the blue-brown debris that blocks your path.

How to Get Tin Ore¶

Tin Ore can only be found in the mines once you’ve reached and unlocked at least the 3rd level of the Abandoned Ruins. To get to deeper levels of the mine, you need to search for door ways and holes downwards - most of the time they’ll be hidden behind depris so you’ll need to dig through it. It can be mined from silver spikey crystals. Once you’re at levels lower than the 3rd level, tin ore is very common and easy to mine.

Alternatively, if you don’t fancy going mining, you can purchase Bronze Bars from Hammertime - the smithing shop. Prices fluctuate in Sandrock, but one Bronze Bar will cost around 45 Gols. Or, you could purchase some Tin Ore and Bronze Ore from Eufaula Salvage Shop. Bronze Ore costs 4 each and Tin Ore costs 8 so it’s cheaper than purchasing the Bronze Bars outright.

How to Get Bearings¶

Bearings can be obtained from Mechanical Scrap, which can be mined from various scrap piles in Eufaula Salvage. Place the Mechanical Scraps into the Recycler and you’ll have a chance of recycling the scraps into bearings. The drops are random so you may need to collect more or less scraps depending on your luck. You need x4 Bearings.

How to Get Copper Screws¶

Copper Screws can either be purchased from Hammertime for around 18 Gols each, or you can make your own Copper Screws on a Grinder.

To make 2 Copper Screws, you’ll need x1 Copper Bar. You can obtain copper bars either from mining ores in Abandoned Ruins and placing them in the furnace, recycling Copper Scraps or purchasing them from Hammer Time. You need 6 Screws, so you’ll need to make 3 Copper Bars (x9 Copper Ore).

How to Get Metal Coils¶

Metal Coils are found when mining the debris in the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Mines. If you’re having trouble finding any, you could also just purchase them from Eufaula Salvage store for around 65 Gols.

How to Use the Sorting Machine¶

The Sorting Machine is a special build for the main quest, Keep on Rockin’. When you’re finished building it, pick it up and then install it at the Eufaula Salvage site.
