My Time at Sandrock

Should you build the Stage Support or the Stage Backdrop?

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page offers some insight into whether or not you should choose to build the Stage Supports or the Stage Backdrop in the The Show Must Go On main quest.

You and Mi-an must rebuild the stage!

Stage Support or the Stage Backdrop?

After the first sandstorm you encounter, you’ll find that the old stage near Hammertime was destroyed! You and Mi-an have been tasked with building a new stage for the town and you’ll get to choose whether you build the stage support or the stage backdrop!

So which should you choose? If you’re looking for the easiest build, you should take the Stage Support build, as it requires less complicated materials. You still need to build a new machine - the Processor - but in general, the resources and materials needed are easier to obtain than building the Stage Backdrop.

The one tricky aspect of the Stage Support is that you need to make Bronze Bars but seeing as though you need to make a Bronze Pickhammer to dig up the old stage, you shouldn’t have too much trouble acquiring more ore to make extra bars! You need less ore overall with the Stage Support but you do need to go deeper into the mines to get tin ore to make Bronze Bars (or you can just purchase it)!

Alternatively, for the Stage Backdrop, rather than building a Processor, you’ll need to build a Grinder. In addition, you’ll also need to purchase the Copper Loudspeaker recipe from the Commerce Guild. Both the Grinder and the Processor’s blueprints cost x3 Data Discs and take 1 day for Qi to prepare!

There are no consequences to whatever you choose so go with your gut!
