My Time at Sandrock

How to Build a Processor

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

A guide on how to unlock and build a Processor in My Time at Sandrock.

How to Unlock the Processor Blueprint

In order to build a Processor on the Assembly Station, you’ll need to obtain the Processor blueprint from Qi. It costs x3 Data Discs and it’ll take 1 day to prepare. When it’s ready, Qi will send you the blueprint in the mail!

You can purchase the blueprint for a Processor from Qi with 3 Data Discs.

To make a Processor, you’ll need x4 Copper Bars, x3 Grinding Saws and x6 Bricks. In total, you’ll need the following amount of raw materials and resources to make a Processor:

  • 12 Copper ore Item_Drop_Ore_Copper.png or Copper Scraps (Copper Bars are a random drop)
  • 27 Stone Item_Drop_Rock_0.png or Stone Scraps Item_StoneWaste_pz.png (Bricks are a random drop)
  • 12 Dinas Item_Drop_Sand.png
  • 2 Old Parts Item_Drop_OldParts.png - can be found randomly by mining in the Abandoned Ruins, or by recycling Mechanical Scrap Item_IronWaste_qb 1.png

How to Get Bricks

Bricks can be obtained in a few different ways. You could either put stone scraps in a Recycler, but as with all things recycled, there’s no guarantee you will get bricks. If you have lots of Stone Scraps, then this might be the way to go!

Alternatively, you could place Stones in a furnace. If you want to learn how to make a furnace, head over to our guide!

You’ll need 4 Stones for every 1 Brick, so in total you’ll need 32 Stones. Luckily, Stones are really easy to come by, just head out and find some gravel stones near your yard and mine them with your pickhammer!

Bricks can be made in the furnace as well as obtained from the recycler.

How to Make Grinding Saws

Item_Drop_Sand.png Dinas x4

You make Grinding Saws at the Worktable. To make a Grinding Saw, you’ll need x4 Dinas and x1 Stone - and since you need 3 grinding saws, you’ll have to get x12 Dinas and x3 Stones!

Dinas is a really common sand-like resource that can be mined from red gravel stones found in the area outside your workshop. You’ll need to collect 8 in total to craft 2 Grinding Saws.

Stone can be found by mining stone scrap piles with your pickhammer or by mining gravel stones. This is another common item that you’ll have no problem finding!

How to Make Copper Bars

There are a few ways to get Copper Bars. Firstly, Copper Bar can be made with x3 Copper Ore in the furnace. Copper Ore is the most abundant ore in the mines. It can be found on the first level of the Abandoned Ruins and you’ll be able to get hundreds of the stuff in no time. You’ll get the most Copper Ore from mining big Copper Crystals found in the mines, but you’ll also get some ore from clearing the blue-brown debris that blocks your path. If you want to make all the Copper Bars from scratch, you’ll need 24 Copper Ore to make 8 Copper Bars.

Copper Ore is found on every level of the Abandoned Ruins.

You could also obtain Copper Bars from recycling Copper Scraps. Copper Scraps can be obtained from Junk Piles found in the Eufaula Salvage Yard - or you can purchase Copper Scraps from the Eufaula Salvage Shop as well. Given that materials dropped from a Recycler are random, you may have to recycle more or less Copper Scraps depending on your luck.

And finally, if you really don’t want to do any of the work, you could just purchase Copper Bars from Hammertime. They cost around 25 Gols, depending on the price fluctuation.

How to Get Old Parts

Old Parts are obtained from mining in the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins or by recycling Mechanical Scrap in the Recycler. Both are pretty legitimate ways of obtaining Old Parts, so do whichever you see fit!

Old Parts can be obtained from recycling Mechanical Scraps.
