My Time at Sandrock

Grace Romance Guide - My Time at Sandrock

By
Jessica Dillon

Grace is one of the characters living in Sandrock when you first arrive. She’s a young archaeology student who is currently trying to learn how to cook while working at the Blue Moon Saloon. She has some of the easiest likes in the game and is easy to befriend in the early hours of the game. The guide below goes over where to find Grace, how to befriend her, how to romance her, and what gifts she likes and loves.

Grace lives in the apartments behind city hall and works at the Blue Moon Saloon.

Where to Find Grace

"Grace" iconGrace is easy to find as she lives in the apartments behind City Hall and works at the Blue Moon Saloon. Her apartment is on the second floor, and if she’s at work, she can usually be found in the kitchen or behind the bar. She will walk back and forth between the two but never really goes anywhere else. She only has one character in her social network: "Owen" iconOwen, the restaurant owner. If you get closer to him, then you can earn some extra Friendship Points with Grace.

How to Befriend Grace

Becoming friends with Grace is the same as all the other characters. You should speak with her every day, play Critters, give her gifts, spar, and go on Play Dates when they unlock. Grace regularly posts to the commission’s board, usually for you to make cooking-related items like Copper Pots or the Frying Pan. Once you reach the three hearts or 400 Friendship Points, you can invite Grace to go on Play Dates with you to earn even more Friendship Points.

Grace also has several missions, like one that unlocks when you are able to enter The Breach. She is an archeologist and will ask you to find relics for her. She will also ask you to make an Insulated Backpack for her during a later mission. While becoming best friends with Grace is easy, dating her is another story, as she always seems to reject the idea. The section below goes over how to romance and marry Grace. For more help with befriending her, check out our guide here.

How to Date and Marry Grace

The progression of Grace’s character development takes a huge turn around 50 hours into the game. This will alter how progress for dating Grace, as well as several other characters, goes. If you haven’t completed Fall From Grace, then the next bit of text will be a major spoiler.

Effects of Fall From Grace on GraceShow Spoiler

Grace will help you defeat Duvos, but afterward, she will prepare to leave Sandrock. Grace has to return to Atara to debrief about the invasion and learn about her next assignment. You will have a few days left in town with her, but during the main story quest, A Graceful Farewell, she will depart. At this point in time, the focus on the game changes to growing Sandrock. As you complete the main story, you will get letters from Grace, reply to them, and use the romantic dialogue marked with a heart.

This will help you build up your relationship when she is away. Grace won’t return until after Sandrock has turned green again. This is another ten to twenty hours into the game after Grace leaves, depending on your play speed. When she is back, you will wake up, and your character will note that they can smell food coming from the Blue Moon Saloon. When you go over, Grace will greet you and let you know that she is back to stay in Sandrock for good this time. At this point, she will also have new quests for you to do; be sure to pick them up when possible.

If you already have 400 points with Grace, then purchase a Heart Knot from the general store for 128 Gols. If Grace accepts, she will become your girlfriend, and you can go on dates with her for more Friendship Points. If you have reached three hearts or 900 points, then you can buy the Engagement Ring from the Mysterious Man on the 20th or 21st of the month. This costs 2,000 Gols and can be used to propose to Grace.
