To make the Bronze Axe, you’ll need x5 Bronze Bars, x2 Wooden Sticks, x2 Copper Screws and x1 Sharpening Stone.
In total you’ll need the following resources to make the materials needed for the Bronze Axe:
- 18 Copper Ore - you could substitute some of the Copper Ore for Copper Scraps to make the Copper Bars if needed.

- Sharpening Stone - purchased from Hammertime
How to Make Bronze Bars¶
Bronze Bars can be made in the Furnace with x3 Copper Ore and x2 Tin Ore. You’ll need to build a furnace before you can forge Bronze Bars yourself!
The main way obtain these materials is to mine them in Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins.

How to Get Copper Ore¶
Copper Ore is the most abundant ore in the mines. It can be found on the first level of the Abandoned Ruins and you’ll be able to get hundreds of the stuff in no time. You’ll get the most Copper Ore from mining big Copper Crystals found in the mines, but you’ll also get some ore from clearing the blue-brown debris that blocks your path. You’ll need x15 copper ore to make 5 Bronze Bars.
How to Get Tin Ore¶
Tin Ore can only be found in the mines once you’ve reached and unlocked at least the 3rd level of the Abandoned Ruins. To get to deeper levels of the mine, you need to search for door ways and holes downwards - most of the time they’ll be hidden behind depris so you’ll need to dig through it. It can be mined from silver spikey crystals. Once you’re at levels lower than the 3rd level, tin ore is very common and easy to mine. You’ll need x10 Tin Ore to make 5 Bronze Bars.
Alternatively, if you don’t fancy going mining, you can purchase Bronze Bars from Hammertime - the smithing shop. Prices fluctuate in Sandrock, but one Bronze Bar will cost around 45 Gols. Or, you could purchase some Tin Ore and Bronze Ore from Eufaula Salvage Shop. Bronze Ore costs 4 each and Tin Ore costs 8 so it’s cheaper than purchasing the Bronze Bars outright.
How to Get Wooden Sticks¶
Wooden Sticks can be obtained in a couple of different ways. The easiest and most reliable way to get wooden sticks is to collect lots of wood from bushes and wooden scrap piles and then craft Wooden Sticks at the worktable. It costs 6 wood to make one Wooden Stick at the worktable, so you’ll need 12 wood in total.
Alternatively, if you have some wood scraps, you can put them in the Recycler. When wood scraps are put in the Recycler, they have a chance of being recycled into dregs, wood or even wooden sticks! Wooden Sticks seem to be a bit of a rarer drop but if you have lots of wood scraps obtain from wood scrap piles then you might have a decent chance of getting the 2 you need.
How to Get Copper Screws¶
Copper Screws can either be purchased from Hammertime for around 18 Gols each, or you can make your own Copper Screws on a Grinder. If you haven’t already made a Grinder, you’ll need to obtain the Grinder blueprint from Qi and then make one. It costs x3 Data Discs and it’ll take 1 day to prepare. Head over to our guide on How to Build a Grinder for more information.
To make 2 Copper Screw, you’ll need x1 Copper Bar. You can obtain copper bars either from mining ores in Abandoned Ruins and placing them in the furnace, recycling Copper Scraps or purchasing them from Hammer Time. Seeing as though you need copper ore to make Bronze Bars, you may as well collect 3 more Copper Ore to make 1 more Copper Bars for the 2 Copper Screws.
How to Get a Sharpening Stone¶
Sharpening Stones can only be purchased from Hammertime. It’ll cost around 490 Gols, but the price is subject to cost fluctuation so you may end up spending more or less! You’ll need 1 to make a Bronze Axe.
How to Use a Bronze Axe¶
The Bronze Axe is stronger, and can be used to chop at harder and higher quality wood. You’ll be able to use it to harvest hard wood.
