My Time at Sandrock

Ernest Romance Guide - My Time at Sandrock

By
Jessica Dillon

Ernest is a journalist who moves to Sandrock after you get a short way into the main story. Finding gifts for him can be difficult, as the items he likes are all over the place. The guide below goes over where to find Ernest, how to romance him, and what gifts he likes and loves.

You can find Ernest at the apartments behind city hall.

Where to Find Ernest

"Ernest" iconErnest doesn’t appear in Sandrock until the eighth main mission, Cover My Glass. At this point, he will move into the apartments behind City Hall, where he will spend most of his day. He either hangs out in the lobby of the apartment building or in his room, the first apartment on the right. He will occasionally be in the center of town and doesn’t have a social network.

How to Romance Ernest

Ernest can be romanced from the second he arrives in town. To do this, speak with him every day, give him gifts, Spar with him, and go on Play Dates when they unlock. He has quite a few side missions for you to take part in for some extra points, like making him a new desk and chair for his new apartment. Once you get Ernest to three hearts or 400 Friendship Points, you can ask him to be your boyfriend. To do this, give him a Heart Knot. This item can be bought from the General Store for 128 Gols.

Once Ernest becomes your boyfriend, you unlock the ability to go on dates with him. Doing this will earn you Friendship Points even faster. At three hearts or 900 points, after he becomes your boyfriend, you will be able to propose to Ernest. This can be done by giving him an Engagement Ring, bought from the Mysterious Man on the 20th or 21st of the month for 2,000 Gols.
