Before you can access this quest, you’ll need to have completed the The New Builder main quest.

Registering Your Workshop¶

The next thing on the agenda after making your Recycler and talking to Yan is to speak to Matilda at the City Hall to register your workshop so you can start taking on clients!

The City Hall is up at the top of the street - head northeast from the Commerce Guild.

As you approach the main square, however, you’ll be greeted by Pen. He’ll give you the side quest Combat Training. You can choose to accept his combat tutorial now or you can skip it and do it later. Head over to our guide on the Combat Training side quest if you decide to make a quick detour before you meet with Matilda.

Pen will offer you a combat training tutorial which you can accept or decline.

Once you’re in the city hall, you’ll be greeted by Matilda. After a brief discussion with Matilda, you’ll be allowed to name your workshop! This name will also appear above your workshop for the whole world to see so make sure it’s a good name!

If you change your mind about the name you’ve chosen for your workshop you can rename it by purchasing a Rename Card from the City Hall store. After naming your workshop, you’ll complete this quest and begin the next main quest, First Day on the Job.
