Arvio is one of the characters you will meet at the start of My Time at Sandrock. He runs the town’s General Store, so you will run into him often when playing the game. He loves to give out quests and has a strange list of likes and loves, making him a bit hard to give gifts to. The guide below goes over where to find Arvio, how to romance him, and what gifts he likes and loves.

Where to Find Arvio¶
Arvio is the owner of By the Stairs General Store. This is located in the center of town, right across from the City Hall. The store is out on the deck, and his house is the building itself. Most of the time, you will find him on his porch managing the general store. Rarely, Arvio wanders away from this area, so he’s easy to find. As for his social network, it only consists of his sister 
Amirah and friend 
Rian. Getting closer to them can help you raise your friendship with Arvio.
How to Romance Arvio¶
Romancing Arvio is a bit different than other characters as he loves giving out quests and putting up commissions more often than some other characters. While you will still want to speak with him each day, give him gifts, play Critters, go on Play Dates when they unlock, and interact with him. You will want to check to see if he has any quests. Most of these consist of things such as making quick deliveries for the General Store or making easy items. Once you reach 400 Friendship points, Arvio will invite you to a Masquerade Party where he will ask you out and you can go on Play Dates. If you don’t want to deal with this, then give him a Heart Knot after missing the party, and he will date you. You can get the Heart Knot from his store for around 128 Gols.
At this point, Arvio will become your boyfriend, and you can take Arvio on Dates to get even more points. Once you have gotten Arvio to 900 points, you can get the Engagement Ring from the Mysterious Man to propose to Arvio. Best Gifts to Give Arvio¶
Arvio’s likes and loves are a bit all over the place, so it can be hard to figure him out. He loves to be gifted with Daggers, starting at the Iron level, as well as Axes and Pickaxes at the Iron level and up. He also enjoys jewelry and some types of ore. The table below goes over Arvio’s likes and loves. For the most part, you should avoid giving him items that are not on this list.

One of the easiest gifts to start giving Arvio is Water, which gets you six points. Once you are able to get a bit further in the game, then you can give him ore, daggers, or the tools he likes. His most loved gifts are Alloy Daggers, Aluminum level tools, Chromium level tools, the Chainsaw, Gemstone Daggers, the Power Drill, a Carousel, and the Day of the Bright Sun Blimp which he will give 20 Friendship Points for each.
Luckily, you get so many points from his quests and commissions that you won’t need to rely on gifting to date Arvio. It still takes a couple of seasons to win him over, but he builds points much more quickly than other characters thanks to his long list of quests.
Arvio Player Gifts¶
As you get closer to Arvio, he will begin to send you presents in the mail. The table below goes over what gifts you can expect to receive from Arvio and at what level of friendship he will send them.

Most of these gifts consist of clothes and furniture, which can help to increase your stats or be sold for a profit. On top of this, when you first start to date Arvio, he will show up at your house each morning to bring you food. This does only go on for a few days as your character makes him stop visiting as often.
