Jane is a teacher who returns to Sandrock after the player helps to build the school. She is a bit limited in how you can interact with her, making it a slow-burn relationship that you will need to build up over several in-game months. The guide below goes over where to find Jane, how to romance her, and what gifts she likes and loves.
Where to Find Jane¶
Jane won’t move to Sandrock until the school is built behind the Church of The Light in the game’s third act. From there on out, she is either at the school on the weekdays or in her apartment behind city hall. Jane has no social network to speak of, despite teaching the children in town.
How to Romance Jane¶
Jane will arrive in town with one heart already filled. To get closer to her, speak with her each day, give her gifts, and go on Playdates once they unlock. Jane won’t post commissions, spar, or play Critters, so you are a bit limited on what you can do to gain Friendship Points with her. She does have a few quests to complete, but these won’t get you very far if you’re trying to date her. Once you do reach three hearts or 400 points, you can give Jane a Heart Knot. This can be obtained at the General Store for around 128 Gols.
Once she accepts the Heart Knot, you can also go on dates with Jane for extra Friendship Points. Once you reach the second three heart level or 900 points, you can ask her to marry you. To do this, give her the Engagement Ring. This item can be obtained from the Mysterious Man on the 20th or 21st of the month for 2,000 Gols.
Best Gifts to Give Jane¶
Jane likes beauty-related gifts and some of the items you can earn from festivals. Her loves mainly consist of artifacts and figurines. The table below goes over all of Jane’s loves and likes.
Gift Level | Gifts |
---|---|
Love | Amirah Figurine, Arvio Figurine, Cheese Sandwich, Dancing Lion Doll, Desk Clock, Eagle Flute, Fine Mushroom Forest Cake, Flag Waving Astronaut Model, Guitarist Astronaut Model, Honey Avocado, Honey Sambo, Inflated Astronaut Model, Journey to the East, Mi-an Figurine, Mushroom Forest Cake, Owen Figurine, Pioneer, Retro Fan, Terracotta Soldier, The Eagle in the Valley, Toy Axe Soldier, Toy Scepter Soldier, Toy Spear Soldier, Toy Sword Soldier, Waist Bag, Wind Chimes, Yakboy Target |
Like | Blessing Pendant, Cact-o’-Lantern Scarecrow, Cact-o’-Lantern, Cat-on-a-Cact-o’-Lantern, Concealer, Cowboy Scarecrow, Dancer’s Jacket, Dancer’s Pants, Dancer’s Shoes, Facial Cream, Fragrant Satchel, Greeno Shampoo, Harmonica, Hat of Memories, Madame Scarecrow, Magnifier, Perfume Apple, Purplo, Royal Jelly, Shoes of Memories, Single-Arm Street Lamp, Spicy Fish Soup, Sticker of Memories, Sunscreen, Yakmel Doll, Yakmel Horn Bracelet, Yakmel Horn Comb |
At this point in the game, you should be able to get hold of most of the items above rather easily. Sunscreen, Concealer, and Facial Cream can be bought from the General store and are all worth five points, with the exception of Sunscreen that’s worth six points. Many of the items on her list are given out at festivals, so trying to earn enough points to stockpile these is a waste of time. Her top loves are the toy soldiers, which will get you 19 points each. These can be assembled at the museum once you find all the parts in the associated abandoned ruin.
Jane takes a while to build up, so just keep giving her gifts and speaking with her each day. Remembering to take her on playdates really helps to raise her score, as well as using her interactions
Jane Player Gifts¶
Like the other late arrivals to Sandrock, you shouldn’t expect Jane to send you gifts. She will still give you a gift on your birthday if you are her friend, but outside of this, you won’t receive any items.
