This page details how to complete Professor Sharp’s Assignment 2, in which you will learn the offensive spell, 
Diffindo in Hogwarts Legacy. During this assignment, you’ll be asked to acquire some more potions and use them.
Professor Sharp’s next assignment will involve more potions and learning Diffindo.
How to Unlock Professor Sharp’s Assignment 2¶
This quest will unlock once you’ve completed the main quest, ‘Room of Requirement’. Professor Sharp will assign you these following tasks:

Acquire and use an
Invisibility Potion. -
Acquire and use a
Thunderbrew Potion against enemies.
Where to Get an Invisibility Potion and Thunderbrew Potion¶
You can either purchase the potions or the recipes to brew your own at 
J. Pippin’s Potions shop in 
Hogsmeade. It’s a lot easier and cheaper to just purchase the potions themselves at this stage in the game, but feel free to try to brew your own! Both the Invisibility Potion and the Thunderbrew Potion cost 500 gold, so you’ll need to spend a total of 1,000 Gold to complete this assignment. If you’re strapped for gold, you can try selling some old gear or go on the hunt for some Eye Chests. There’s several eye chests around Hogsmeade that you can locate using 
Revelio. Then to loot them you’ll need to use the 
Disillusionment Charm (invisibility spell) so the eye doesn’t see you coming. These chests always yield 500 gold!
Invisibility Potions and Thunderbrew Potions can be bought from J. Pippin’s Potions.
Now that you’ve got the potions, it’s time to use them! There are no other prerequisites for using the Invisibility Potion except to just use it, so you can equip that and take it as soon as you’ve got your hands on it! It will only last a few seconds before you’re back to being visible again - the Disillusionment Charm is much stronger it seems! The Thunderbrew Potion, however, will require hunting down some enemies. You could try heading west from Hogsmeade into the 
Forbidden Forest area. Here you can find Poachers, Spiders and Mongrel enemies. When you drink the Thunderbrew, you’ll conjure up a thunderstorm around you that lasts about 30 seconds. It will stun and damage nearby enemies but the radius of effect isn’t that big so make sure to get close to the enemies if you want Thunderbrew to work!

How to Unlock Diffindo Spell¶
Once you’ve successfully used both potions, return to Professor Sharp in his Potions Classroom and tell him of your success. You’ll then get to learn the offensive spell, Diffindo. This spell has a long range and when used, it’ll send out a bright slash of white light towards the enemy, dealing slashing damage.
