As of the March 6, 2024, patch, Helldivers 2 has introduced a ton of new weather effects and extreme weather events that can show up during your missions. These can severely disrupt your view, and your ability to stay focused on the objective, and even help you out by affecting a horde of Terminids or a group of Automatons. What are all these weather effects and exactly how do they affect your gameplay?

Below, you can find a list of the current known weather events and effects, which we will be updating as more are discovered and Arrowhead Game Studios introduce more over the coming months.

• Meteor Showers

Tornados¶

Tornados haven’t been spotted on missions just yet. However, these will seemingly pull in Helldivers, items, supplies, and enemies, and send them flying off into the distance. This will likely mean an instant death, so you don’t want to be in the path of one.

Meteor Showers¶

Meteor Showers can start at any point during your missions and affect large and small areas. A warning will be displayed on the screen when you are in the area. A barrage of explosions will rain down from the sky and being hit by one is an instant death, so if you do come across a shower, you definitely want to get out of there. Although, it can be a useful tool to lure Terminids and Automatons into the area.

As mentioned above, more are likely to be added as the studio shakes up the galactic war and introduces new updates, weapons, and stratagems. So, there is always a chance you might run into a brand-new event before it has been widely discovered.
