The SG-225 Breaker Spray & Pray is a low-damage, high-fire rate version of the Breaker shotgun in Helldivers 2. It initially wasn’t used too much. However, a patch by Arrowhead on March 6, 2024, has significantly buffed the weapon. With these updates, you may be wondering how you can grab it for yourself and what the stats look like.

Specifically, the weapon now has increased armor penetration, an improved fire rate from 300 to 330, and an increased pellet count per shot by 4. However, to offset this, the magazine has been brought down by four shots. Therefore, it now operates in a medium ground between where the weapon used to be and the basic Breaker model which dominated prior to this update.

How to unlock the SG-225SP Breaker Spray & Pray in Helldivers 2¶

The SG-225SP Breaker Spray & Pray in Helldivers 2 is unlocked in the Steeled Veterans Warbond on Page 9. It costs 60 Medals to unlock on that page, but you will need to spend several hundred to be able to progress the Warbond to page 9. So, this is likely to be one of the last weapons you unlock in the game and requires you to get to at least level 15-20.

Best uses of the SG-225SP Breaker Spray & Pray in Helldivers 2¶

The best moments in missions to use the Spray & Pray variant of the gun are when fighting swarms of Terminids and groups of Automatons charging at you. It can do solid single-target damage, however, due to its fast fire rate and it is great at stunning, blowing the limbs off of basic enemies, and wiping out large hordes of grunts that are chasing you to give you some extra time.
