One of the scariest enemies you will fight in Helldivers 2 is the Bile Titan. Not only are they ugly, but their huge form makes them incredibly deadly, especially when you find yourself underneath one or fighting in its nest. To avoid getting squished into freedom-bringing mush and to take them down before they can advance on Super Earth, we have put together a few pointers to kill Bile Titans in Helldivers 2.
While they may not be a huge threat at range, you will need to get up close to do any real damage, which means you have to be careful about how close you get and where you aim your shots.
Helldivers 2 Bile Titan location¶
The best way to find Bile Titans is to take on elimination missions at difficulty 4 - ‘challenging’ or higher. The main objective of these missions is to defeat the giant critter, which means you are guaranteed to have one spawn on the map.
Bile Titan missions are fairly common at difficulties 4, 5, and 6.
You can also find them in regular missions from difficulty 4 upwards as secondary objectives. But it is pure luck whether or not the objective is given to you during your mission.
How to defeat Bile Titans in Helldivers 2¶
To defeat Bile Titans, you want to aim for the green weak spots on its body and bombard it with airstrikes and other orbital strikes to stun and weaken its back. Generally, shooting at its legs, main body, and face won’t do much damage, if any at all, which is why you want to target those weak green areas underneath its body and face.
Even targeting these weak areas doesn’t ensure a swift death for the Bile Titan as it has an immense amount of health, so you will be fighting it for a substantial amount of time. However, continually stunning it (ensuring it staggers), is your best way to slowly bring down its health and see it crashing to the ground.
You can also fight it from range, but it is hard to see these weak spots and you will have to deal with its deadly bile-spewing attack.

Weapons like the marksman rifles, explosive grenade launchers, and incendiary weapons in our best Helldivers 2 weapons list are great options to deal the highest amount of damage. When it comes to the best stratagems in Helldivers 2 against the Bile Titans, you want to opt for the Railgun, Orbital Laser, and Eagle 500 KG Bomb which can actually land on the back of the Bile Titan and completely obliterate it.
With the Bile Titan taken down, you can begin working on other objectives or mission types to kill Hunters in Helldivers 2 or move over to the fight on the Automaton front and bring down and destroy dropships to halt reinforcements.
