Chapter 9 is a major one in terms of story for Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII: Reunion and Zack will be looking to make his escape from Nibelheim with Cloud. Early on in the Chapter, you’ll need to find some clothes for Cloud and you’ll need the Dresser Key to do it.

Where to Get Cloud Some Clothes¶

The end of Chapter 8 has some major story moments, and you’ll find yourself back in the lab of the Shinra Mansion several years later. Cloud, however, hasn’t found himself so lucky and is in no state to take care of himself with the Mako poisoning. As such, it’s up to Zack to try and help Cloud escape Nibelheim.

As you make your way out of the basement and back up the stairs to the bedroom, Zack will lay Cloud down on the bed as he suggests he’ll need to find a change of clothes for him to avoid detection.

If you go to the left side of the second floor and enter the door directly in front of you, you’ll find two dressers, both of which are locked. Here is where the Dresser Key comes into play, and you may discover that you are already in possession of it.

If not, you’ll need to make your way back into the basement and into the lab once more. Remember that scientist you knocked out when you escaped from the tube? Go back over to him and check his pockets to obtain the Dresser Key. It is possible to get this at the very start of the Chapter if you decided to search around everywhere before taking Cloud out of the basement, at which point, Zack will automatically use the Dresser Key.

Return to the room with the dressers to use the Dresser Key and obtain the SOLDIER Outfit for Cloud. With a change of clothes, and Cloud looking closer to the version of him you see in Final Fantasy VII, it’s time to bust out of Nibelheim so leave the Manor and make for the town, which appears to have been rebuilt.
