Unfortunately, a lot of these can be missed, and some of them will require you to think outside the box. All Missable Mail in Chapter 1

In Crisis Core, you’ll receive mail to your flip-phone periodically updating you with news as well as other stuff. There are 102 Mails altogether, and unfortunately you’ll need to get one mail from each sender which means that you need 100 of them if you want the Mail Completionist trophy. All of them in Chapter 1 can’t be missed, but throughout the game, there will be missable mail.

Speaking to Kunsel will pop up the Mail tutorial. There is a trophy for collecting 100 of them.

Mail: Kunsel – Congrats on your first mail!

The first mail you’ll receive (outside tutorials) will be from Kunsel in the Shinra HQ, Briefing Room. After the cutscene, he’ll tell you to check out the Supply Pod before every mission as it’s regularly restocked for Soldier Members. Once you’ve received your supplies, he’ll send you a Mail.

Mail: Shinra News - Midgar Construction Project

The second Mail will follow the first, and you’ll receive both of them at the same time.

Mail: Lazard – SOLDIER Responsibilities

During the main mission in Mt. Tamblin, you’ll head through the Mountain Path, as you approach the Save Point, Lazard will send you this mail.

Mail: Shirna News – Situation with Wutai

The last Mail of the Chapter will be sent to you when you approach the Save Point in the Courtyard area of Fort Tamblin.

Cursed Ring

There’s only the one item to miss in Chapter 1, and if you haven’t played the game before, you’ll most likely miss it. When Kunsel tells you to check the Supply Pod, you’ll get a "Bronze Bangle" iconBronze Bangle. However, if you check the same pod approximately 20 times, you’ll obtain the "Cursed Ring" iconCursed Ring. This item acts like a pseudo hard-mode where it’ll remove the DMW which means you can’t level up. You can read the full guide for the item here.

Once again, only the one missable Trophy/Achievement in Chapter 1, and it’s during the main mission where you go to Mt. Tamblin. After you’ve progressed through the Mountain Path, and you get to the Fort you’ll get a cutscene, and Angeal will ask you to create a diversion among the Wutai ranks. This is sort-of a mini-game where you’ll need to defeat groups of Wutai Soldiers, and if you want the Trophy, you’ll need to defeat all 16 groups. The “Fortress: remaining forces” will display 11 groups, but the other 5 will be hidden. Two of the groups will be in the wooden towers while the other three will be behind rotating walls. You can read the full guide for the Trophy here.
