Sniper Elite 5

M1A Carbine

By
Paul McNally

The M1A Carbine was a staple of US weaponry in World War 2 and with good reason. Far and away the quietest rifle in the game it is superb if you want to play the stealth role and get around making the minimum of fuss.

This famous US rifle has been made famous in plenty of WW2 movies.

M1A Carbine Pros and Cons

This is a great weapon but it is not without its weak points. It is definitely better at closer ranges and it has around half the stopping power of the German Karabiner, but it is so easy to control and fire it is easy to fall in love with.

Pros

  • Easy to control
  • Rapid fire

Cons

  • Weak damage
  • Poor at long range

Audible Range

Whisper quite (ish) with an audible range of just 105m you can literally get away with murder with the M1A Carbine. With a clever diversion or twom they won’t even know you have ever been there, not until it is far too late anyway.

Zoom

An 8X zoom completes a very significant feature set here but unfortunately at very long ranges the weapon doesn’t quite live up to expectations.

Magazine size

With a stunning mag size of 15, the M1A Carbine operates more like an SMG in some ways but with the ability to hit those long-range targets as well with a decent scope.

How to get the M1A Carbine in Sniper Elite 5

The M1A carbine is unlocked by completing Mission 5: Festung Guernsey.
